Answer:	The pump (or filter) keeps the pool clean along with adding a few chemicals. Pool scum can build up fast so if you brush the bottom and sides, turn on the pump daily and add some chemicals on occasion it stays really clean.

Answer:	It worked somewhat for fine dirt particles. It did clean most of the dirt out of the bottom.

Answer:	Not sure, I haven't had any problems with mine. I have a pool with a 12 foot deep end and this has held up well all summer. We've fought some algea so it has been used.

Answer:	I've had mine for 5 yrs now. Bristles never fell out, but now down to about 3/4-1" long. I've replaced the plastic tangs several times and had to cut the end of my extension pole several times. Just slide a piece of matching PVC inside, put in a V block and drill the 1/4" hole--only two poles in 18 yrs.

Answer:	When you push down on the broom against the side of the pool, the big flat pushes against the water and forces the brush against the sides of the bottom of the pool. Answer:	Jeez. All pool cleaners get jammed every once and a while from debris, leaves, twigs being sucked into the mechanism. If you're going to buy and use your own equipment, you need to learn how to clean out anything it sucked up. With my pine trees, I might have to clean it once a week. To the other people replying--don't blame the product if you don't know how to use it. And yes, if you can't figure out how to clean it, do take it to a pool store. They'll probably show you for free, so great advice from the vendor. Yup, you do have to change the oil in your car, clean your furnace filter, and unclog your drains every once in a while.

Answer:	Wrap rubber electrical tape around the male part how ever many times it takes for the hose to fit. That's what we had to do, and it worked for us.

Answer:	I can't see a difference between 8150 and 8151, so my guess is that the 8151 is a very minor update. The 8165 does have side brushes.

Answer:	1.) You have to have a pole that fits it. 2.) You have to have a very long hose to fit it. 3.) You have to have an adaptor for the intake that fits the long hose I mentioned in number two. 4.) You have to have a pump sufficient enough. *I had all the parts I needed left over from my old vacuum kit. I am going to put the link to that kit here and hope the links works for you to see it. That kit worked great but it was old and finally cracked from a kid throwing it down. I used my parts to fit into this. As for my pump, I used to have a paper filter pump but switched to a sandpump. Love the sandpump and it has great power. My pool is just an Intex 16 x 48. Answer:	It is a good vacuum i have vacuumed dirt & leaves i think it probaly would vacum sand ( Tip) If you close main drain valve it will force more water thru skimmer were you attach hose for vacum creating more suction

Answer:	I don’t think these test strips are sensitive enough to detect the amount of chlorine typically in tap water. Unless your tap water has really high chlorine content. These strips won’t detect anything under 1ppm.

Answer:	Ours cleans all but top step of granite-look composite steps, 4x8. Gets stuck for 30 sec., tops, then blasts away & backs-up. Also does vertical waterline of vinyl pool beautifully & climbs walls. Never a dirty pool; we change & wash filters each use, 2 uses if not very dirty. Answer:	Yes. It’ll work in either. “Salt Water” pools are chlorine pools. You add salt and stabilizer and the chlorinater turns it into chlorine. It’s just a lot less chlorine. My pool is this type.

Answer:	The water is pulled through the bottom as it vacuums. The debris and water is filtered though 4 sizable filters. The resulting filtered water is then expelled through the top of the device. This device is a bulldog and cleans dirt, dead algae and leaves from your pool in one round. If the whole bottom is covered in leaves, you need to do your best to get them up and finish off with the Dolphin. This device saves me from vacuuming by hand for half the day. Also, the dirt, dead algae and general crud doesn't go through your pool filter. It completely removes it all without the risk of it going right back in and it doesn't stir up the bottom and settle back down after you vacuum. Come back a few hours later and it's still clean.

How long can I leave my Dolphin in the pool?

We recommend taking your Dolphin out of the pool after each use to empty and rinse the filters and to rinse off any excess chemicals. It is ideal to keep your Dolphin out of the pool and stored away when not in use. If your Dolphin has a weekly scheduler, you can keep it in your pool for a week, but you will need to make sure the filter is cleaned.

How to use the power supply

Make sure the power supply is placed at least 12 feet from the edge of the pool. Connect the floating cable to the power supply, align the lug on the connector with the notch of the plug on the power supply, then turn clockwise. Press the ON/OFF button on the power supply to begin cleaning. The power supply for your Dolphin is not waterproof- it is water resistant. When in use, make sure it was either stored on the caddy or far away from the pool, so it does not get pulled in. Always use an electrical outlet protected with a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) device; this will protect your Dolphin from surges in power. Do not use an extension cord or surge protector to power your Dolphin.

How to take the robot out of the pool?

Gently pull on the blue floating cable to bring your Dolphin to the edge of the pool. Once your Dolphin is in reach, grasp the handle to pull the robot out of the water. Place the robot on the edge of the pool to let the remaining water drain out. Do not pull the Dolphin out of the water using the cable.

How to store/roll/operate cable

When you Dolphin is in use, only release enough of the cable for your Dolphin to properly cover your pool. Leave the excess cable loosely rolled outside of the pool. When storing your Dolphin on a caddy, carefully wrap the cable so it does not have any kinks and place it around the top of the caddy. Once a week, unplug the cable from the power supply and unwind the tangled portions of the cable, straighten it out and leave in the sun for a few hours. This will help remove any tangling or kinks.

Answer:	You have everything that you need in the kit. This kit can also be used for a summer escapes pool, with the wall skimmer. But, you will have to use the vacuum adapter that came with the pool, as you do not have the round inlet like the Intex pools have. Again, I use mine with a Summer Escapes 18 X52 pool, and have had no problems at all.

Answer:	I had a 15' intex pool. I didn't have a skimmer in the pool wall either. Yes, I unscrewed the intake cap (water going to the pump)and screwed on the adaptor and then attached the hose. But, I also had a 1 horsepower sand filter that really worked awesome, had great suction. I don't know how well this maintenance kit would work with the small filter pumps that come with the pool.
