Answer:	Hi, yes there is a paddle like design that "vacuums" the debris from the water. It does not just drift it, there is force that sucks in the debris into the basket. It should be able to suck up gnats.
Question:	Stopped working after a few months, just shows solid red lights across back, any suggestions
Answer:	I Fixed the solid Red light issue. For me, the paddle motor in front of the basket seized. I unscrewed the white side panel on the side of the the motor that turns the paddle. I removed the motor, cleaned it with wd40 while spinning it with my hand. I then turned it on to see it spinning. Motor was rusty. This corrosion will clearly happen regularly. It probably happens to the props as well based on some of these postings. Now I know the maintenance routine. I called them the day before, about the solid red light. They didn't give me so much as a clue! There is no way they don't expect this to happen every few months. I had it for 3 months and based on these questions and comments, it's happening to a lot of people. Maybe fixing it is part of the side money they make?

Answer:	It should work. The skimmer has a T that connects to the Hayward device and so you slip the intake hose over the T. The Aquabug is similar to the Hayward Poolvac XL.

Answer:	Aligning the blue basket hole with the base pin, will adjust how much suction comes from surface. #1 maximum flow from surface. #3 less water flowing and from surface. #2 recommended for most cases.
Question:	Can I use this without a pool vac? Can you attach this directly to the skimmer
Answer:	I don't see how it would work, because it is meant to travel around the pool with the pool vac, thus cleaning the pool top area. If attached to skimmer it would stay in one place and I don't believe that would be much. The tube/hose it comes with is very short, after our pool vac went past our 6" mark it floated in one place, not very for us also the connection to the pool vac was loose and the instructions show you can buy another added attachment to secure it better, not the most cost effective pool top cleaner.

Question:	Sounds amazing but seems like it would be obstructive / ugly in the pool. Does anyone attach & reattach it so as not to always have it in the pool
Answer:	It's not too ugly. As far as detaching and reattaching, if you don't have someone that can configure a coupling to make this happen, you will not have an easy time doing this. I stopped using this product. Way too many problems with it.
Question:	Will it break off if there are waves from people jumping in the pool
Answer:	We had some good waves in my pool and it seemed to be ok. I would answer NO to your question. My opinion: If your waves are that bad, you need to control the people in it and protect your investment.
Question:	What if my return isn't threaded? Is there some kind of adapter I can use

Answer:	7 years on mine and it's been very valuable. In my case, an inground 17x35, there was no accounting for prevailing winds on our site and the built-in skimmer was placed at the upwind end, while the prevailing winds blow all the debris to the opposite end rendering the skimmer almost useless. Fortunately there's a return at the downwind end and that's where this Pool Skim goes, and works very well. Only wish it came with a bigger bag (our pool has Silver Maples at each end).

Answer:	It small hoses will not fit 1.5 in pools ,must have several exit ports

Answer:	A regular pool cleaner connects to the intake outlet in the skimmer. This connects to the outlet where the water comes out, the jet outlets. It comes with attachments but mine did not fit so I have not used it. They are supposed to be able to be used at the same time.

Answer:	The skimmer comes with a butterfly gasket. It provides the gasket for both inside and outside of the pool and also helps keep chlorinated water from contacting (and rusting) the pool wall. Butterfly = think of two gaskets which are joined at the outer edge and therefore capable of being slipped over the square pool opening; kind-of-like your index and middle fingers which meet at the bottom. It works well.
Question:	Will the hose connections fit the intex hoses with the threaded nut? Like with the Intex 56671EG 2,650-Gallon Sand Filter Pump
Answer:	David, they do not fit. Intex uses odd sizing so you have to be creative. I hard plumbed my skimmer to my sand filter. On the filter side I reused the nut from the Intex hose but on the skimmer side I glued PVC to the skimmer. I know it is hard to visualize. Check out this website there is a ton of info on there. Question:	What did you use to cut the hole if you needed to, and does it give instructions for doing that
Answer:	It’s very easy. With water just below the desired level install the skimmer by using a sharp object to punch out the screw holes. Once it is installed and right THEN take a razor blade and cut out the square opening.

Answer:	If you mean, can you connect the Gator skimmer to the inlet (suction) side of your pump, then yes, it'll function nicely as a replacement for an original pool skimmer (typically located on the wall of an in-ground pool). It would not function if connected to a pump outlet, as it requires suction/water flow into the skimmer to drawn down top-floating debris into its skimmer basket.

Answer:	I bought my net as a replacement for one that was worn out and falling apart. You have to read what is included when you buy. There are several nets with the poles included on Amazon. I think there are also poles available for sale. Almost all of the receivers in the poles are the same. You can use the same pole for a brush, net, or vacuum. I have 3 poles, but I really like the smaller pole that the net is on, so I just switch the net for the brush when I need it.
Question:	The adjustable mouth for water intake; the wider the gap the faster the water flow

Answer:	It's a lot of fun and effective when it works. But it is also a $100 piece of junk. I've had three and none has lasted more than a season... Replacement parts are not available, so buy a new one and keep the old unit for parts.

To use Gator AutoSkim, you just need to attach it to any of the most popular bottom vacuum cleaners or Automatic Pool Cleaners (APC).

Will work with most Vacuum or suction cleaners with 1 1/4" hose, compatible with above Ground Suction Cleaner.

Vacuum cleaners with a non-standard hose connector (1 ¼") such as Aquabot Pool Rover Jr., PoolMaid will not fit Gator AutoSkim.

Gator AutoSkim only works with suction or vacuum pool cleaners and cannot be connected to electric or to pressure pool cleaners such as Polaris 260, 280 360 or 380, Pentair Pressure cleaners

Answer:	No, you don't have to dilute it, but it is very thick and rich and a little goes a long way. I guess it depends on the degree your own skin needs. My husband loves it, but I can't take the smell.

Answer:	It says on the label that it is cold pressed.

Answer:	It does not say so on the bottle. It says, "Cold pressed pure virgin organic." If it's labeled accurately, I would assume the "pure" means that it is only neem, not any other oil or other ingredient.
