13 best intex chlorine tablets
Intex chlorine tablets are a type of pool maintenance product commonly used in swimming pool care. These tablets are related to pool clarifiers, enzymes, and other chemicals used to keep pool water clean and safe for swimming. They fall under the category of chemicals and water testing products and are essential for maintaining a properly sanitized pool. Here's what you need to know about Intex chlorine tablets:
Sanitizing Agent: Intex chlorine tablets are primarily used as a sanitizing agent in swimming pools. They contain chlorine compounds, typically in the form of trichloroisocyanuric acid, which helps kill bacteria, algae, and other microorganisms that can contaminate pool water.
Slow Dissolving: These tablets are designed to dissolve slowly in the pool water. This slow dissolution ensures a steady release of chlorine over time, helping to maintain consistent water sanitation levels.
Convenient Packaging: Intex chlorine tablets are often available in convenient packaging, such as individually wrapped tablets or in a tablet floater or dispenser. This makes it easy to add the tablets to your pool without direct contact, minimizing the risk of skin irritation.
Stabilized Chlorine: Many Intex chlorine tablets are stabilized, which means they contain cyanuric acid. Cyanuric acid acts as a chlorine stabilizer, helping to protect the chlorine from degradation due to sunlight, thereby prolonging its effectiveness.
Regular Maintenance: To keep your pool water safe and clear, it's important to regularly add chlorine tablets to your pool. The frequency of adding tablets depends on factors such as the pool size, water temperature, and bather load. It's essential to follow the manufacturer's recommendations and use a pool water testing kit to monitor chlorine levels.
Safety Precautions: When handling Intex chlorine tablets or any pool chemicals, it's crucial to follow safety precautions. Always wear protective gloves and goggles, and store the tablets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Compatibility: Intex chlorine tablets are designed for use in various types of pools, including above-ground and in-ground pools. However, it's essential to ensure that the tablets you choose are compatible with your pool's filtration system and water chemistry.
In summary, Intex chlorine tablets are a vital component of pool maintenance, helping to keep pool water clean, clear, and safe for swimming by providing a steady release of chlorine. Proper use and regular testing of water chemistry are essential to maintain optimal pool conditions.

Question: | How tall is the bucket |
Answer: | Your question seemed odd but did get me to measure the bucket! Exactly 18 3/8". Hope that helps. BTW, it is a fine product. |
Question: | were do you put the tablets |
Answer: | Just a comment, I'm no expert, but I have had my 39x22 foot in ground pool for 25 years this year. My skimmer became brittle after about 20 years of use putting 3-4, 3 inch tablets in the skimmer, hardly anything to worry about after 20 years. Also, I get that the chlorine sitting there when the pump is not running can concentrate the chlorine and yes the water does go into your pool filter but the initial corrosive water is not sitting in the filter it gets pumped right back out into the pool and less chlorinated water is coming in behind it. I have had the same pool filter and pumps since my pool was built 25 years ago and have no problems putting 3 inch chlorine tabs in the skimmer basket. I have only replaced the inside of the filter once because some of the sections were ripped, replaced the skimmer basket once after 20 years, and I just had it re-plastered 3 years ago. Like I said before, I'm no expert this is just my experience. Now if someone can tell me how to get rid of the pool..... |
Question: | is there an expiration date for these tablets |
Answer: | no expiration ,just keep closed tight and dry. work better than other brands i have used . |
Question: | How many tablets are in this bucket |
Answer: | The description says that there are approximately 114 tablets per bucket. |

Pool Care and Maintenance
It is important to maintain your pool/spa to keep it clean and healthy all year round. Good habits, such as cleaning your filter or emptying your skimmer basket, will ensure that your investment is protected for years to come. But most importantly, you and your family will be able to enjoy the swimming pool or spa each season.
Water Testing
Testing the water weekly or bi-weekly, depending on use and outside variables, helps keep your pool/spa water healthy. Utilizing a DPD or OTO reagent-based water test kit, test strips, or digital testing will help you monitor the pool or spa water chemistry.
Adjusting and Balancing
Adjusting and balancing your pool or spa water chemistry ensures that you will get the most out of the swimming season. The benefit of having good pH and Alkalinity levels is that it will increase the ability of your main sanitizer to kill bacteria. Balanced pool water chemistry will also reduce chemical and maintenance costs. Balanced pH and alkalinity help prevent corrosion and scale formation on the interior pool surface and surrounding equipment.
Sanitizing
There are many different types of sanitizers used in various pool and spa environments. Clean and healthy water starts by establishing a proper residual chlorine level with shock or concentrated granular chlorine. The most common way to maintain a proper chlorine level is by using trichlor chlorine tablets in either a floater or chemical feeder. Applying these steps to your normal maintenance plan will ensure the elimination of non-living organic contaminants, bacteria, micro organisms, and algae making your water safe to enjoy.
Pool Fun and Safety
Now that the water is properly balanced and sanitized, it’s time to get in there and have some fun! We recommend enhancing your outdoor living environment with games, floats or loungers, toys, and accessories. Get creative!
Safety is of the utmost importance, and there are many ways to help make your pool/spa safer. Having a life ring buoy, a shepherd's hook, depth markers, coast guard-approved life preservers, door and water alarms and having your local aquatic environment safety regulations on-hand will ensure a fun and safe environment for your family.
Treatment
Even after all your preparation, sometimes life happens and your pool or spa can get away from you. In those moments, we need to start back from the beginning with testing of the water. Now that you have a clear idea of the current readings, your next steps will depend on the type of symptoms your water is presenting. This may include an issue such as algae (green, yellow, black, etc.), cloudiness, living organics, debris, and other water conditions.

Kills Algae and Bacteria
Algae can turn pool water green. HTH Super 3" Chlorinating Tablets destroy algae and bacteria to keep the water looking blue.
1 Tablet Works for up to 1 Week
These easy-to-use chlorine tablets dissolve slowly and effectively to sanitize your pool. One tablet keeps working for up to one week per 10,000 gallons.
Formulated to Prevent Chlorine Loss
HTH Super 3" Chlorinating Tablets are formulated with cyanuric acid (CYA) to help protect against chlorine loss, and they contain built-in algae protection and clarifier.
1. Test and Balance pH Levels
First, make sure the pH of the water is
balanced. If the pH is too high or too
low, the chlorine sanitizer won’t work as
effectively. The ideal pH range is
between 7.2 and 7.8.
2. Proper Sanitization Requires Circulation
HTH Super 3" Chlorinating Tablets release chlorine slowly. Run your pump at least 8 hours per day (or night) to ensure your water is properly sanitized.
3. Apply to Feeder, Floater or Skimmer
Place one tablet in pool feeder, floater or skimmer per 10,000 gallons of water every week or as often as needed to maintain a chlorine residual of 1-4 ppm. Do not add directly to the pool as this can cause damage to pool surfaces.
Product description
Are you tired of buying chlorine floaters that sink? Or even worse, the bottom breaks, the tablets fall to the bottom of your pool and stain the pool surface? Now there is a better choice!
Our chlorine floaters are made of thick plastic and are guaranteed to last more than other floaters that crumble and fall apart. We offer an unmatched 2 Year warranty just in case ;)
Prefered by pool service professionals
As an established swimming pool service company, we have been using this durable pool chlorine floater for over 10 years.
We have tested many different brands and this is the chlorine dispenser we use for all of our customers. While others end up at the bottom of the pool, this floater keeps floating year after year.
You get what you pay for
Some chlorine floaters are poorly made and they sink or even break. When chlorine tablets fall to the bottom of your pool, they can leave stains that can only be removed by acid washing or resurfacing the pool. That could cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars in the long run.
Our Chlorine floaters are made of thicker more durable materials, and are guaranteed not to sink or break. That’s peace of mind...
Best Uses
Swimming pools that use Chlorine/Bromine tablets.
In-ground swimming pools and spas
Above Ground Pools
Pebble-Tec Pools
Salt Water Pools
Fiberglass Pools
- IT DOESN'T SINK - This floating chlorinator is foam filled and it’s made of heavy duty materials that outperform other brands that sink and break and is guaranteed to keep floating year after year!
- SAFE - Strong twist lock cap prevents chlorine tablets from falling out and staining the bottom of your pool
- BETTER VALUE - Our chlorine float is designed to last many swimming seasons. We have tested and compared to other brands of floaters and found the materials are inferior, made of thin, brittle plastic and most only last 1 swimming season
- HOLDS 1" to 3" INCH TABLETS - 7.2 x 7.2 x 7.2 inches.Tablets not Included
- 2 YEAR WARRANTY - Just in case.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be used to sanitize a fresh water tank in an RV |
Answer: | This chlorinated product is a granulated concentrate. It needs to be agitated to completely dissolve in the water. It's also bit expensive for this type of use. I just used household Bleach to sanitize my RV freshwater tank. I am on well water, so I would add one teaspoon for each 20 gallons of freshwater to lengthen the storage time in the tank. |
Question: | can these clorinating granules be used in a softub |
Answer: | Yes they can |
Question: | Is this the same as shock |
Answer: | I don't think so. Spaguard also makes a product called Enhanced Shock, which has orange labelling & cap. |
Question: | I want to use this in my inflatable pool. Do these just dissolve in the water |
Answer: | I mix a teaspoon of it in a bucket half full with hot water to dissolve the product. I use my kid’s beach bucket. Then I pour it into the inflatable pool and mix it around. I do this 3 times a week and it’s working perfectly. The water is crystal clear. I think I have about 100 gallons of water in my inflatable pool. (It holds 163 gallons but I don’t fill it to capacity) Otherwise the product does not seem to dissolve in cold water. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Every week I have to add acid to my pool to decease the pH. Will these tablets keep the pH from increasing |
Answer: | It is 86% baking soda, which will increase you pH. I would discontinue using a chemical that reduces your pH unless you are trying to raise pH. Pools only need three chemicals: Chlorine, Clorine stabilizer (CYA) NO more then 30ppm, and muriatic acid. Boric acid can be used to stabilize your pH as well, which will raise you pH, but as it is an acid not as much as baking soda will. |
Question: | Can i just drop the tablets in my pool or do i have to use a dispenser? i only have one dispenser that i put the cholorine tabs in. we have an 18x |
Answer: | It's baking soda. It's technically one of the chemicals that is fine to drop in the pool. I would just assist it with a brush maybe. |
Question: | Can you use this with a saltwater system |
Answer: | The directions on the container say "use with your chlorine"... That being said, I don't know if they are compatible/useful in a saltwater system. |
Question: | Is this jut baking soda |
Answer: | The product is mostly baking soda with water clarifier added in. The product does 3 things: increases pH, increases Alkalinity and adds clarifier to your pool water. I use this product with my outdoor pool which holds about 28,000 gallon and have been very happy with it. I add about 1 tablet of this per 4 tablets of 3 inch chlorine tablets that I put into my chlorinator. If you monitor your pool chemistry you could also periodically just add a tablet(s) when your pH and Alkalinity levels get low in your pool. |

Product description
Pool Mate 3-Inch Chlorine Jumbo Tabs are the strongest chlorine tablets on the market today and they come individually wrapped for safer and easier handling. Each tab is stabilized to protect against harmful UV rays, thus improving the chlorine residual in your pool by guaranteeing a longer-lasting, slower dissolving release. Each tab weighs 8 ounces. Daily instructions: Adjust the chlorine dispensing rate of the floater or in-line feeder to provide 2.0-4.0 ppm of free chlorine residual as determined by a reliable test kit. The initial startup and weekly maintenance dosage is 1 to 3 tablets per 10,000 gallons although this dosage may vary due to unusual conditions such as heavy bather loads, wind, heavy rains, and high temperatures; therefore, frequent use of a reliable test kit is recommended. Use the test kit as a guide to maintain the pH at 7.4-7.6 and total alkalinity at 80-130 ppm. Pool chlorinating tablets are intended for use in a floater or in-line feeder only. Do not add these tablets directly to the pool or mix with any other chemicals. Reentry into treated swimming pools is prohibited above levels of 3 ppm of chlorine. Keep product dry in a tightly closed container when not in use. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat or open flames. Do not reuse or refill empty container.

User questions & answers

User questions & answers
Question: | how many gallons does one tab do |
Answer: | Yes, for wood or plastic. |
Question: | Does this product expire |
Answer: | I bought it for a gift so don't really know for a fact but I believe they are a silver grey. |
Question: | Can i use these in a blow up pool |
Answer: | The F500-2 description says it uses (between others) F53 and F54 refils, which are these flexible and the corresponding rigid points. |
Question: | Individually wrapped |
Answer: | I would ask a framer because you don't want to put pressure on the glass and crack it in order to insert the point. There is a springback effect when you insert the point. And if you don't get it close enough to the glass the glass will shift. I only use it for canvas artwork. You might want to place something on the glass to act as a buffer between the driver and the glass. |

In The Swim 1" Inch Pool Chlorine Tablets
1 Inch Chlorine Tablets dissolve slowly for even distribution of sanitizer. These tablets are compatible with many different chemical feeders and floaters. 1" tabs are typically used in smaller pools and spas because the dosage is more controllable. Carefully consider the size of your pool and the chlorine demand to determine how much chlorine is needed for your pool.
1 inch chlorine tablets are best dispensed in a floater or chemical feeder for consistent sanitization. Placing them in the skimmer can cause the tablets to dissolve at an accelerated rate making chlorine levels inconsistent. The 1-inch tablets are wrapped in quantities of 53-60 to meet DOT regulations. Wrapped tablets produce less off-gassing and have a longer shelf life.

User questions & answers
Question: | how many tabs in the 8 lb. bucket |
Answer: | A lot, packed in individual clear plastic bags of about 10 each. |
Question: | Can these be used in a kiddie pool which holds 125 gallons |
Answer: | I use it in a small hot tub and the coloring us very strong. I personally wouldn’t use it in a kiddie pool as I wouldn’t want that to use such a strong chemical with small children. |
Question: | How many tablets are in the bucket |
Answer: | They come in individual baggies with about 59 tablets in a baggie, I don't remember how many I've used already so there is about 25-30 baggies in the bucket. It's 100 pounds I like the individual baggies (they don't take much extra space) because I've bought chlorine before where you have to scoop it out this is much more easier. I think it's a good deal. |
Question: | Are these the 1 inch small tablets cause in the picture they look 3 inch wide, can i please get a picture and answer |
Answer: | They're 1 inch .. slightly thinner than the brand they sale at walmart ;) |

Our Mission Statement
Benefits
Rx Clear 1” tabs are pH 2.7 which should be used in conjunction with a non-stabilized chlorine shock treatment (pH 10.8) to maintain a balanced pH level. Safe for use in automatic chlorine dispensers.
- SIMPLE, SAFE & EFFECTIVE: The chemicals in our chlorinating shock/sanitizer combination are fit into revolutionary pre-measured and self-dissolving tablets, effectively preventing exposure to the harsh chemical liquids or powders of typical pool products and shock treatments. Simply drop the tablets into your pool or hot tub water or skimmer to keep the water clean and clear by filtering away all of the harmful bacteria!
- USES LESS HTH CHLORINE: These compressed, virtually hands-free pool sanitizing treatment tablets contain the minimum amount of dichlor chemicals and active minerals needed to keep your pool or spa water crystal clear. You may continue to check and control the alkaline levels with normal pH testing strips, as they will still detect the amount of chlorine dioxide in the water. Using these low-level chlorine tablets is also the ideal solution for preventing chlorine-related skin irritation.
- KEEPS POOLS CLEAN: Our pool and spa chlorine tablets enter the purification cycle quickly, keeping the water sparkling clean. The tablets work as the ultimate pool, hot tub, or spa stabilizer, sanitizer, and disinfectant, wiping out bacteria, organic contaminants, residue, and sediment that can build up in standing water. Keep your pool in tip-top condition with EcoOne tablets from Pacific Sands.
- PERFECT FOR ALL POOLS: EcoOne pool tablets are compatible with all pool types. Whether you have an above ground pool, an in-ground swimming pool, or a DIY backyard pool, hot tub, or spa, these tablets will work to keep the water swim ready. Add our tablets to your stock of pool cleaning supplies and have peace of mind knowing that your pool or spa is safe to use at any time. We guarantee our tablets are the ideal source for clean water!
- NO LEFTOVER GRANULES: Unlike other pool water treatment tablets on the market that leave behind small chunks of hardened chemicals, our tablets dissolve quickly and completely, leaving you with grit-free clean water. You will never have to worry about stepping on leftover tablet pieces or finding floating bits of chemical. EcoOne has done the worrying for you, taking pool care to the next level by keeping it natural, with effective yet minimal chemicals and the most efficient delivery system.
User questions & answers
Question: | Can I dissolve this in a bucket of water and then pour into my pool |
Answer: | Yes you can. For maximum effectiveness pour it into your pool right away. |
Question: | I have brown stains at the bottom of my pool liner, will this remove them |
Answer: | I DON'T THINK SO. I THINK AMAZON CARRIES A POOL/SPA STAIN REMOVER, BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW WELL IT WORKS. |
Question: | I have a 22000 gallon pool. How many tablets would I need to use for 1 treatment |
Answer: | I use 1 tablet for 245 gallons. I am not sure this product is used for this size unit. Please go to website Ecoone |
Question: | DO I need anything else to keep my spa clean or is this it |
Answer: | I use the Spa Time granular form in the skimmer once a week and then add 1-2 pucks to the floater depending on use or the number of people in the spa during the course of the week or if I going to out of town a week or so. Once the water is balance ie.harder etc. which I usually once a year take over to the pool place to get analysis, as I have well water so I also use the hose filter and iron out on initial fill & when adding water during the year. Best of luck! |
