Answer:	I have used the Hayward version of this filter and it works great. A few years ago I added this socks to catch smaller debris and they work great also. The only this is if you don't clean before they collect too much the pressure will build and split the basket (maybe the basket would have split without the socks, not sure). Question:	Is it normal to see air pockets inside the canister when its in operation
Answer:	I don't see why not. It fits between hoses, whether the vacuuming is manual or automatic makes no difference. To increase efficiency you can line the navigator with a nylon, which will collect even smaller particles. Hope this is helpful.

Answer:	One side is 1 1/2" outside diameter. The other side is 1 1/2" inside diameter. The same way the vac hoses fit together. One fits into the other. That's why the difference in size. Not familiar with the Zodiac you have. I've had the leaf canister for about 4 months. Works great. Mostly oak leaves and tons of bamboo.

Answer:	Yes, but I found that the silt socks don't hold up so started using the spun hair needs used in food service. You get a bag of100 for less than $10 and just throw away when full, they will catch any kind of hair and just about anything else.

Answer:	yes, it is. to get rid of them, you'll have to hold the canister under water to fill it, before hooking it to the hoses, and all the air can escape.... doesn't bother the function of the filter at all

Answer:	August 7-2016. For those with the same question, The W530 is meant to be used with a male hose connection at the raised piece of plastic connector. An adapter would be required if you use a larger diameter hose. I would not clip off the raised pieces of plastic because you never want excess air to enter the hoses. It is also possible for the lid to be forced off from the pool evacuating air at the end of its cycle and the plastic pieces will prevent the lock cover from flying out of the pool.

Answer:	It’s flexible sort of, I think all the vacuum hoses are on the stiff side. This vacuum broke on me after 2 months, I don’t recommend it. Also it’s very heavy and bulky.

Answer:	I am not sure what you mean about the "blue inch adaptor". There is short piece of hose that came with mine.
Question:	Is this product new? we have a zodiac mx3 cleaner, will this leaf catcher work with our equipment
Answer:	It shouldn’t be attached to the kreepy, you need to attach it to the first section of hose that comes out of the wall. You should have one section of hose, then the leaf trap, then 20 or 30 feet of hose, then finally the kreepy.
Question:	Wouldn’t it be easier to empty the standard skimmer basket as you wouldn’t have to keep turning the pump off like you would with this
