How long can I leave my Dolphin in the pool?

We recommend taking your Dolphin out of the pool after each use to empty and rinse the filters and to rinse off any excess chemicals. It is ideal to keep your Dolphin out of the pool and stored away when not in use. If your Dolphin has a weekly scheduler, you can keep it in your pool for a week, but you will need to make sure the filter is cleaned.

How to take the robot out of the pool?

Gently pull on the blue floating cable to bring your Dolphin to the edge of the pool. Once your Dolphin is in reach, grasp the handle to pull the robot out of the water. Place the robot on the edge of the pool to let the remaining water drain out. Do not pull the Dolphin out of the water using the cable.

How to use the power supply

Make sure the power supply is placed at least 12 feet from the edge of the pool. Connect the floating cable to the power supply, align the lug on the connector with the notch of the plug on the power supply, then turn clockwise. Press the ON/OFF button on the power supply to begin cleaning. The power supply for your Dolphin is not waterproof- it is water resistant. When in use, make sure it was either stored on the caddy or far away from the pool, so it does not get pulled in. Always use an electrical outlet protected with a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) device; this will protect your Dolphin from surges in power. Do not use an extension cord or surge protector to power your Dolphin.

How to store/roll/operate cable

When you Dolphin is in use, only release enough of the cable for your Dolphin to properly cover your pool. Leave the excess cable loosely rolled outside of the pool. When storing your Dolphin on a caddy, carefully wrap the cable so it does not have any kinks and place it around the top of the caddy. Once a week, unplug the cable from the power supply and unwind the tangled portions of the cable, straighten it out and leave in the sun for a few hours. This will help remove any tangling or kinks.

Answer:	You have everything that you need in the kit. This kit can also be used for a summer escapes pool, with the wall skimmer. But, you will have to use the vacuum adapter that came with the pool, as you do not have the round inlet like the Intex pools have. Again, I use mine with a Summer Escapes 18 X52 pool, and have had no problems at all.

Answer:	Just converted my pool last year and the vacuum works just fine with salt water. BTW the vacuum that comes with this set is the best vacuum I've ever used!

Answer:	Should work great,I have a 18' by 52" ultra pool with a small sand filter. The key to strong suction is to make sure all air is out of the hose
Question:	I have a 22' Intex Ultra Frame. Was looking at this kit, but i dont have a skimmer. Can i screw the blue adapter onto the intake side of my pump
Answer:	I had a 15' intex pool. I didn't have a skimmer in the pool wall either. Yes, I unscrewed the intake cap (water going to the pump)and screwed on the adaptor and then attached the hose. But, I also had a 1 horsepower sand filter that really worked awesome, had great suction. I don't know how well this maintenance kit would work with the small filter pumps that come with the pool. Answer:	I have the dolphin nautilus plus and it holds it nicely. I don't have to move mine and use it as a holding station for the powerpack, cleaner and hose. It is mostly plastic. The only metal is the pole holding the top handle to the bottom. I think it could easily break if you move it often especially on uneven ground.

Question:	Can this be used for a koi pond
Answer:	Wouldn't suggest it. I don't think it would do really good with too much very fine powdery silt like what's in a pond, it goes right thru the bag even with a knee high hose attached inside for extra filtering. That's when we use the manual vac on the pool to vac to waste. Try at your own risk.
Question:	Do I submerge the blaster halfway and then turn it on? Or do I turn it on and then put it in the water
Answer:	You must turn it on just before you submerge it and don't turn it off till it is out of the water. When you turn it off it opens the cap covering the battery compartment, and you don't want to get water in that.
Question:	What is the output voltage for the charger
Answer:	According to the data plate on the charger it's 10v out. Input ranges from 110-240v.
Question:	I have a Hydro Tools 8351 extension pole. Will that work or do I need a different type
Answer:	I don't know what a Hydro Tools 8351 is but if It is a standard poll it should work. Mine fits on the same poll I use for the leaf basket and bool brush.

Answer:	It goes on your return, unscrew and remove the ball. And add this flow director.

Answer:	Yes. It comes with about 30' of hose that comes in 3' sections that snap together. My experience with this snap-together hose is that it allows quite a bit of air in the pump no matter how tight the pieces are put together.

Answer:	if you had a 110v to 12vdc converter. The illuminator is powered by 12vdc like your security camera's. You could put it inside a window, but I would not recommend it. It has a FOV (field of view), a cone shaped area spreading out from the illuminator much like your camera. It is recommended the illuminator be installed next to the camera so the FOVs match. The illuminator does generate some heat, so installing it inside next to window coverings might be a hazard. The illuminator being installed inside without being able to adequately dissipate heat might shorten its lifespan. However, if those issues are considered, FOV, heat dissipation, heat hazard, yes it could be installed inside. There are certainly situations where it might be called for.
Question:	Are the batteries lithium
Answer:	I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t. The fins simply dissipate heat so as long asI the fins aren’t obstructed it shouldn’t matter. I’ve been using one of these for over a year and it’s performing very well.

Answer:	Both of my KN-COSM-1B just shut down. It's like a bad battery chirp every 30 seconds meaning the alarms are too old when you replace the battery and it continues to chirp. The date on the back is Nov. 2012 which would be less than 8 years. If the instructions say 10 years, that is incorrect or an improvement from the 2012 model that lasted a little over 7 years.

Answer:	I have a Bestway 18'x9'x48" Rectangular Frame Above Ground Pool and it works on mine. I just had to remove the screen filter that goes to the return fitting but it works perfect. Picks up leaves, berries,small sticks and sand that occasionally comes out Sand Filter. This is my 3rd unit I've had. The first I purchased was one that was said to be new but was used and had leaky hoses, returned for refund. Second One that arrived was brand new but was damaged in shipping had to returned for refund. This last one is perfect so far and has updated single hose instead of the put together one. I Leave it running when grandkids aren't in the pool have not had to skim floor or water since. Note as others said you need a strong pump. I upgrade my pool to a Sand Filter,Saltwater Chlorine Generator, In Wall Skimmer and 1 1/2 Hp Pump.

Answer:	I was going to write a review about this as I just purchased it, but Amazon wouldn't let me do it saying they were not allowing reviews on it at the moment? What the heck? Anyway, I would give it a solid 4, maybe 5 if it had been assembled properly when we got it. It works now after my husband realized what was wrong. After we got it going, it does an amazingly good job of cleaning, especially for the price. Here's a trouble shooting hint if yours doesn't move when you first try it. Hope it helps. My husband wrote the following: How to troubleshoot an Intex Auto Cleaner which will not reverseWe recently bought an Intex Auto Cleaner. When we first used it, it would move across the floor of the pool, hit a wall, and then stop. It turns out that it was improperly assembled at the factory. Here are the steps to follow to fix this problem:1. Disassemble the Auto Cleaner and open the drive assembly. There is a good YouTube video on how to do this.2. After disassembly and careful removal of the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice that there is a large gear on the left side of the drive assembly. If you manually rotate this gear, you will notice that a plastic piece that resembles an upside down "U" will move to the right, stop for a bit, then reverse direction and move to the left.3. On the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice a small lever which operates a flapper valve. This flapper valve should operate freely by hand.4. CRITICAL STEP! As you reassemble the drive assembly, ensure that the small lever is placed within the upside down "U". If it is outside of the upside down"U", your Auto Cleaner will never reverse and operate as intended.Hope this help

Answer:	The Intex is a fairly decent pool vac, but it will only pick up loose dirt and debris, like any pool vac will. Get your chemical balance right and use a hard pool brush (no metal!) to loosen up the algae, then use the pool vac to clean it up. I did learn that the standard 1500 GPH pump does not have enough output power to make this pool vac move. You'll need the 2500 GPH pump (which runs about $85 here on Amazon) and a clean filter to make it run good. You'll also find that the 2500 GPH pump does a lot better job at filtering your pool water.
