Answer:	Hi, yes there is a paddle like design that "vacuums" the debris from the water. It does not just drift it, there is force that sucks in the debris into the basket. It should be able to suck up gnats.
Question:	Stopped working after a few months, just shows solid red lights across back, any suggestions
Answer:	I Fixed the solid Red light issue. For me, the paddle motor in front of the basket seized. I unscrewed the white side panel on the side of the the motor that turns the paddle. I removed the motor, cleaned it with wd40 while spinning it with my hand. I then turned it on to see it spinning. Motor was rusty. This corrosion will clearly happen regularly. It probably happens to the props as well based on some of these postings. Now I know the maintenance routine. I called them the day before, about the solid red light. They didn't give me so much as a clue! There is no way they don't expect this to happen every few months. I had it for 3 months and based on these questions and comments, it's happening to a lot of people. Maybe fixing it is part of the side money they make?

Answer:	It's not too ugly. As far as detaching and reattaching, if you don't have someone that can configure a coupling to make this happen, you will not have an easy time doing this. I stopped using this product. Way too many problems with it.
Question:	Will it break off if there are waves from people jumping in the pool
Answer:	We had some good waves in my pool and it seemed to be ok. I would answer NO to your question. My opinion: If your waves are that bad, you need to control the people in it and protect your investment.
Question:	What if my return isn't threaded? Is there some kind of adapter I can use

Answer:	7 years on mine and it's been very valuable. In my case, an inground 17x35, there was no accounting for prevailing winds on our site and the built-in skimmer was placed at the upwind end, while the prevailing winds blow all the debris to the opposite end rendering the skimmer almost useless. Fortunately there's a return at the downwind end and that's where this Pool Skim goes, and works very well. Only wish it came with a bigger bag (our pool has Silver Maples at each end).

Question:	do you have to replace the copper tube and where do you get one
Answer:	If you clean it, generally it does not need to be replaced. I found the best way to clean it is put the copper unit into vinegar. Let it stay in for a couple of hours and clean it using the brush. You can purchase an extra unit, not sure of the store, as I have seen it before just look on the internet.
Question:	How good is to to keep algae out
Answer:	I live in Florida. I purchase the unit because of it's low price, for my screened pool and it is for 32000 gals pools. As of today, I am happy with the unit it has cut down my algae problem and purchase of algae preventive products. It appears to be working. However, I have a Nautilus cc Plus pool cleaner and it removes the algae from the walls & bottom of my pool.

Question:	How does this work with vinyl liners? I'm afraid of copper staining
Answer:	I would be more concerned with the staining of anything white, like your steps. This unit works by adding copper to the water as the copper rods are eaten away, which is why you have to replace them. Copper in higher levels causes blue green stains. You shouldn't reach those levels if you follow directions and monitor you copper level with the copper test strips.A much cheaper and more efective way to accomplish the same result is to just get some 7% copper algaecide available on Amazon.
Question:	I have a filtration system in my in ground pool that uses the diamatacious earth powder to help filter, will this work with that
Answer:	I have the same filter system that use earth power (DE). And I am using the Floatron solar for more than 2 year now, it's working fine save me a lot of money on chemical and time to clean the pool. but remember it works much better on summer, make sure that you need to clean the basket at least one a week

Answer:	It small hoses will not fit 1.5 in pools ,must have several exit ports

Answer:	A regular pool cleaner connects to the intake outlet in the skimmer. This connects to the outlet where the water comes out, the jet outlets. It comes with attachments but mine did not fit so I have not used it. They are supposed to be able to be used at the same time.

Answer:	Yes. My basket is 8.25" in diameter. The sock stretches and fits just fine. It does, however, cover the handle so it makes removing the basket a little difficult. Their use is well worth it. I'm looking for a basket with a detachable handle

Answer:	They stretch to fit the standard Hayward baskets. It is T-shirt type woven fabric. They catch finer debris, but you need to check and replace them daily if you have stuff falling into your pool.

Answer:	It should pick up everything since the pool water can't even get through. You'll be running the motor dry. Happened to me overnight with an already established, clean pool.

Answer:	One at a time. Used a float Ron for years then had trouble with it. This is working well and is a little smaller which I like. Very easy to maintain. I have a 30000 gallon pool so I leave it in all the time.

Answer:	It should work. The skimmer has a T that connects to the Hayward device and so you slip the intake hose over the T. The Aquabug is similar to the Hayward Poolvac XL.

Answer:	Yes we do have many SkimmerMotion attached to The PoolCleaner.\Latest model does have a rubber T-Joint so it connecte easy to the Pool cleaners

Answer:	Aligning the blue basket hole with the base pin, will adjust how much suction comes from surface. #1 maximum flow from surface. #3 less water flowing and from surface. #2 recommended for most cases.
Question:	Can I use this without a pool vac? Can you attach this directly to the skimmer
Answer:	I don't see how it would work, because it is meant to travel around the pool with the pool vac, thus cleaning the pool top area. If attached to skimmer it would stay in one place and I don't believe that would be much. The tube/hose it comes with is very short, after our pool vac went past our 6" mark it floated in one place, not very for us also the connection to the pool vac was loose and the instructions show you can buy another added attachment to secure it better, not the most cost effective pool top cleaner.
