10 best victor electric rat traps
Victor Electric Rat Traps are pest control devices designed to effectively and humanely eliminate rats and other rodents. These traps are known for their reliability and ease of use. Here are some key features and information about Victor Electric Rat Traps:
Electronic Operation: Victor Electric Rat Traps operate using electricity. They are powered by batteries and deliver an electric shock to rodents when they enter the trap.
Quick and Humane: These traps are designed to kill rodents quickly and humanely. When a rat enters the trap and steps on the metal plates, it completes an electrical circuit, delivering a high-voltage shock that kills the rodent almost instantly.
Indicator Light: Many Victor Electric Rat Traps feature an indicator light that signals when a rodent has been successfully trapped. This makes it easy for users to know when to empty the trap.
No Poison or Chemicals: Unlike some other pest control methods, these traps do not use poison or chemicals, which can pose risks to pets and children.
Reusable: Victor Electric Rat Traps are typically reusable, allowing you to catch multiple rodents with a single trap. After each use, you can empty the trap, reset it, and place it in a different location if needed.
Safety Features: These traps often have safety features that minimize the risk of accidental shocks to humans or pets. They are designed to be safe for indoor use.
Easy Disposal: Disposing of the trapped rodents is usually a straightforward process. Most traps have a lid or compartment that can be opened to release the deceased rodent without direct contact.
Effective for Rats and Some Other Rodents: While designed primarily for rats, Victor Electric Rat Traps may also work for some other rodent species of a similar size, such as mice.
It's important to place these traps strategically in areas where you suspect rodent activity, such as along walls or in areas where you've seen signs of rodent presence. Additionally, regularly checking the traps and emptying them when they've captured a rodent is crucial to maintaining their effectiveness.
Victor Electric Rat Traps can be an effective and humane solution for dealing with rodent infestations in and around your home or property. However, as with any pest control method, it's essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions and take appropriate safety precautions when using these traps.

Question: | Keep getting internet not available with victor wr200.., when adding as a second trap. first trap ok, what went wrong with the second one |
Answer: | The listing is for the M326 traps which are the traps shown on the picture. The metal triggers are the M200 .. |
Question: | Buenos dias, he colocado tres dias seguidos la trampa, pero al siguiente dia aparece limpia (sin el cebo), sin embargo no hay ninguna rata muerta |
Answer: | http://www.amazon.com/Eaton-421CL-Multiple-Catch-Mouse/dp/B000WZ4KO0/ref=pd_ys_sf_s_rp_a1_1_p?ie=UTF8&refRID=1FZ3BZBYJNWESCEV9BEEsorry for the mice answer. I just noticed you are dealing with Ratosauroses. In this case, the big traps will work, but you might need to fiddle a bit with the cross member/beam with which you arm the trap. You are trying to make it more sensitive. Also, be very careful. It can give you blue fingernails for months, if it catches you. Ask me how comes I know that. It mabbe a better idea to look for other sorts of traps. Poison always work if there is a way to keep your pets or kids out of the picture. I know. My ex-wife tried it on me. |
Question: | I have had mine for about 7 months and it worked fine. now false rodent caught message every night. no rat. bait still there. power good. any ideas |
Answer: | Bait the trap. I use ordinary peanut butter because it works fine and keeps a long time. Make sure the trip wire is out of the way. Open the snap to full and hold it with one hand. While holding the snap with one hand, place the trip wire over the snap and engage it with the yellow bait holder. You will need to raise the bait holder slightly correctly engage it with the trip wire. Once this is done carefully slowly release the snap until you feel the tension on the trip wire. Continue to hold the snap tension against the trip wire with one hand and remove the other hand that was used to engage the trip wire to hold the trap by the edge from the underside. Once this is done release your hold on the snap. Use care when handling and ALWAYS hold the armed trap by the bottom or sides! REMEMBER - the snap action is quite violent so use care and ALWAYS keep your hands away from the working parts and area of the trap. |
Question: | What’s the difference between the M1 vs M2 model beside the size |
Answer: | Our voles are between the size of a mouse and a rat and they stay in the pasture and out of our structures. I would assume if you had the proper bait and placement you could have some success. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I have a 4 1/2 pound yorkie. Is there anyway she could get in enough to get hurt |
Answer: | It takes a AA Lithium batteries, (4) But will tell you this , If something goes wrong with it before warranty is up, customer service sucks! Had to send mine back after catching 10 rats, cause it stopped working. Customer service sucks even tho they have a great product! Guess you have to take your chances. I sent mine back over a month ago, Have not heard from them since and they have the rat zapper plus 4 batteries that I paid $6.97 for. Will not pay $33 for another because of this. My son-in-law is an exterminator! Will use his company from now on.Too bad too! Still trying to contact them and no answer. They have email address plus my address and phone number! What's up with that? |
Question: | what type of batteries |
Answer: | The text states that the voltage is applied for two minutes because rats can restart their hearts. This does not sound humane to me |
Question: | Is this trap good to catching voles or moles |
Answer: | It cannot get wet, so we have placed one in a 5 gallon bucket on its side. Any moisture will cause a malfunction. Good luck! |
Question: | How long will the batteries last ( like four months)? Will they work in a below zero temp.? Will there be a smell from the dead ones |
Answer: | My zappers are several years old and the blinking light syndrome happens every so often, I clean them using a toilet brush with some dish soap in a disposable aluminum turkey roasting pan. and let them dry thoroughly then they are good to go again. If you get a new cheap wire framed toilet brush, you can squeeze it a bit to bend it permanently so that it fits the inside of the zapper. |

Indicator Light Alerts You of Kills

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the difference between the M143 model and this M144 model |
Answer: | Is the second trap located in an area where the Wi-Fi is not as strong? If so, we recommend bringing the trap closer to the trap and trying to add it. Please give us a call directly at 1-855-584-2867 so we can offer some additional assistance. |
Question: | What is the measurement of each victor power kill rat trap m |
Answer: | In my case the rats were smart enough to pick open the bait door from the back. Don't know how they figured that out but scratch and bite marks tell the tale. My solution was to put a few raw peanuts in the back of the trap. A few (not all, so I did get a some) of the rats figured out that they could reach through the holes in the back and take out the peanuts. Actually got them on video doing this. They couldn't get them all and eventually they would get greedy and go into the trap. Put the back of the trap against a wall and had more success with the peanuts. |
Question: | I have the plastic Power Kill rat trap and every morning the trap has been released and the peanut butter is gone. What can i do |
Answer: | This happened with ours too. The problem was some dead crickets (?!?!?) in the trap. The trap looks for anything that conducts electricity between the metal parts on the floor of the trap. If something is connecting the metal plates it assumes that it is a dead rat. But you can get false “rodent caught” messages if *anything else* is in the trap. Dead crickets, dirt, who knows what. So, turn it off, remove batteries (just to be sure) and make sure the inside of the trap is clean and that should fix the problem! |
Question: | Are these black m144 traps the same as the beige? They arent on victors websight and all Q&A refers to beige |
Answer: | The shock delivered by the traps are designed for mice and rats respectively. |
