Answer:	I really don’t know, but in all honesty, this is a very good product. I never had heard of a 21 volt battery impact, got to say it hasn’t disappointed yet. Great product for good price, really recommend.

The Havahart 2-Door Live Animal Trap is Havahart’s small trap and designed to capture a number of small-sized critters, such as chipmunks, squirrels, flying squirrels, weasels and rats. The 1025 uses an ultra-sensitive trip-plate to capture these tiny animals and a close-set wire mesh to contain them. With the right bait, you’ll draw your target animal into the two-door trap. Chipmunks

Use peanut butter to 'glue' sunflower seeds, corn or raisins to the trigger plate of your chipmunk trap, then place it near the chipmunk burrow, under bushes they hide in or under a shed or similar structure.

Rats

Try a variety of food in your trap, including bacon, peanut butter or nuts. Place the rat trap near walls, wires or other pathways you believe the rats use. If you see rat droppings or gnaw marks, you’ve found the right spot.

Squirrels

Weasels

Step 1: Baiting

Often times, it’s easier to bait the trap before setting it and placing it. For most animals, you can apply peanut butter to the trigger plate and add some supplementary item to it as further incentive to the target animal.

Step 2: Placement

Your trap should be placed where there’s evidence of the pest animal’s activity. In particular, try to place it near its nest and in any areas where it might normally find food. Remove all other food sources, if possible.

Step 3: Release

After the capture, try to make the animal as comfortable as possible. Cover the trap with a towel and release the animal at least 2 miles away. Be sure to check your local catch-and-release laws before trapping

Question:	If the trigger rod gets lost, can I order another trigger rod
Answer:	I don't know the true answer to the question, but I bought mine for the same reason. Unfortunately I never found my iguana (two sightings, but I never saw her), but they seemed like they could go as small as you needed (like a centimeter). Answer:	I was able to catch a ground squirrel with these.
Question:	Would this work for catching medium size feral cats
Answer:	I use these for ground squirrel. I find where they enter and exit my yard. Or set at the opening of their burrows. When. When new the snare is a little difficult to set. I found if you open the loop to the proper size and put a small kink in the cable it stays in place better. You do have to check the trap multiple times a day because sometimes critters will knock it over or not get snared the first time. Attach the swivel to the fence, tree or a tent stake with wire or heavy zip tie. A pellet pistol like the Beeman P19 is good for dispatching angry squirrels caught in the snare.

☛ Set the release lever for the door very lightly and make sure the hook is not angled to the side, have it straight, and as centered as possible.

Answer:	maybe - but if you want the feral kitten caught, do like I did, put a brown paper shopping bag flat on the bottom (cats don't like to walk on the wire) put the food in a paper bowl, then hold the trap open with your finger, when the kitten goes in, let the door snap shut, I caught 4 in one try, one went in and the others followed it in

Answer:	We do not have Armadillos up here in Chancellorsville VA; but we do have raccoons which are about the same size. This trap is useless as the raccoons have no problem escaping. I bought my trap thru Amazon so asked for a refund thru them--NO JOY;

Answer:	it comes folded flat in a box; which will then unfold and you put a long pin (comes with the trap) to lock it in place; then connect the trigger rod in place; pull the trap door up and lock in place; you are then ready to go; picture instructions are provided; VERY EASY; footnote (ha ha) put a large brown paper bag on the bottom (free at most grocery stores, just ask for one or a couple); some animals are sensitive where they walk; like feral cats
Question:	I am trying to catch a very small feral cat. She (named pumpkin) is about 6 lbs. . Would her weight be enough to set off the trap
Answer:	If she gets to the rear where the plate is mine is sensitive enough that she would trip mechanism if she walks on the plate. The only problem I've had was when I trapped a coon that likely weighed 25 - 30 lbs and he knocked out the rear portion escaping [we have cameras]. I've caught squirrels and they likely weigh similar to your cat foe.

Answer:	To whom it may concern: I have a similar trap. I always place the bait beyond the trigger plate, which is the mechanism for releasing the trap door. I have no idea why anyone would put bait in front of the trigger plate. I have had trouble with raccoons reaching in and getting the bait from the closed end of the trap, so I built a wooden cover for that end (completely covers the top, back, sides for the rear 12 inches). Now the only way for an animal to get the bait is to enter the front and step on (or otherwise jostle the trigger plate. I do put a little bait at the front door :-) I've caught 4 racoons in the past 3 to 4 weeks. Full disclosure: I don't have this particular trap, but it is VERY similar.

Answer:	This is my 2nd unit, but I haven't used it yet. However, the last one I had did all 4 tires without a cool down, so I don't think this unit will need a cool down either. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Very good for mice.. I cut a piece of cardboard to put on the bottom of the trap. Mice seem to like walking to the bait better on that than on the wire mesh. I use peanut butter for bait and it works very well..

Question:	Can this trap be used to catch rabbits
Answer:	I have caught a small oppousm in one of these traps. It could barley move but it fit. I think you might have an issue getting a rabbit to go into the trap but I'm sure it would fit.
