Answer:	I don't know if it kills carpenter ants, but I do know it gets rid of the tiny ants, spiders and other creepy crawlers. They just don't like the aroma of cedar and the big bottle that you dilute before using works wonders outdoors for all sorts of pests. We sprayed both porches, and about 100 feet around the perimeter of the house and it was a wonderful summer without being bothered by insects of any kind, even venomous snakes, and great for our little dog....no fleas...I sprayed inside the house around the mopboards and no more spiders and webs in the house or basement. Best of all, it is safe to use and contains 90% pure cedar oil. Critters don't like cedar. It really works good. Just get the biggest one, I know it is expensive but well worth it, and follow the directions on the bottle. I know you'll be happy with it especially the non-toxic part is best.
