12 best carpenter ant baits
Carpenter ant baits are essential tools in pest control for managing and eliminating infestations of these wood-destroying insects. Here's what you need to know about carpenter ant baits:
Purpose: Carpenter ant baits are designed to attract and poison carpenter ants. These baits contain a slow-acting toxic substance that the ants carry back to their nest, ultimately killing the entire colony.
Bait Types: There are several types of carpenter ant baits available, including gel baits, liquid baits, and solid baits. Different formulations are designed to attract ants at various stages of development.
Attractants: Carpenter ant baits often contain sweet or protein-based attractants to lure ants. These attractants mimic the ants' natural food sources, making them more likely to take the bait.
Active Ingredients: The toxic substances in carpenter ant baits typically include compounds like abamectin, boric acid, fipronil, or hydramethylnon. These ingredients are chosen for their effectiveness against ants while being low in toxicity to humans and pets.
Application: Baits should be placed in areas where carpenter ants are active. Common locations include along ant trails, near nesting sites, and around potential entry points into the structure. It's essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper placement.
Patience: Carpenter ant baits work more slowly than contact insecticides. It may take several days or even weeks for the bait to eliminate the entire colony, as the worker ants share the bait with the queen and other colony members.
Safety: It's crucial to use carpenter ant baits safely. Keep them out of reach of children and pets, and follow all safety instructions on the product label.
Prevention: After successfully eliminating a carpenter ant infestation, it's essential to address the conditions that attracted them in the first place. Seal cracks and gaps, repair water leaks, and eliminate sources of moisture to prevent future infestations.
Professional Help: In severe infestations or if you're unsure about bait placement, it's advisable to consult a pest control professional. They can assess the situation and provide more targeted solutions.
Follow-Up: Even after the infestation is under control, it's a good idea to monitor for any signs of renewed activity and reapply baits as needed.
Carpenter ant baits are an effective and relatively safe way to deal with these destructive pests. When used correctly and in conjunction with good preventive measures, they can help maintain a pest-free home and garden.

User questions & answers
Question: | Ants are entering my son’s room near the ceiling. What is the consistency of this product? Will it drip if I apply it to the ceiling corners |
Answer: | The product has a gel like consistency but may also have some liquid when applied. The gel will run sometimes when applied to walls but this provides more bait for the ants. Do not disturb the ants while they swarm the bait. |
Question: | Does it have a strong odor? Thanks for your time |
Answer: | Hi! No---it has no odor that I've noticed, and you use very little at a time. You need to put it in the path of the ants and just little dabs at a time. It's a pretty thick gel so it sticks up around the ceilings, under a countertop edge, etc... just keep it away from pets and kids! |
Question: | Is this for sugar ants or protein ants |
Answer: | Sugar - says right in the description - The sugar-based gel matrix of Optigard ant gel bait is highly attractive to ants, which makes it extremely effective. |
Question: | if you used terro how does this compare |
Answer: | I have used Terro and I have found Optigard to be considerable more effective. What has worked well for me is to identify where the ants are coming from, and where their trails are. I then place a bead of about 1/2 inch, or so, near the entrance and on the trails. (If you are concerned about about pets or children touching the gel you might cut one inch pieces of drinking straws and put the bead of gel inside those) The ants are quickly attracted to the gel and you need to leave it alone. The ants will take the gel back to the nest and use it to feed the queen and the young ants. They will quickly die (a couple of days) and once the life cycle of ants is relatively short a dead queen means ne new ants. I've had really good results doing this. |

A Clear Solution For Ant Control
It is estimated there are up to 10,000 trillion ants on earth, which means there are trillions of pest problems you could encounter around your property. Optigard ant gel bait from Syngenta Professional Pest Management offers effective control of a broad range of ants so you can help reduce the number of ants you face.
Optigard ant gel bait is known for its clear gel formulation that ants are attracted to and is easy for them to consume. It has proven to be accepted and palatable to a wide variety of ants. The powerful active ingredient, thiamethoxam, controls workers, brood and queens to ensure full colony elimination.
Optigard ant gel bait Profile
▸ Broad-spectrum control of ants, including Argentine, carpenter, odorous house, ghost and other ant species
▸ Non-repellent and transferable; knocks out workers, brood and queens
▸ Remains palatable for at least 14 days after baiting (indoors and outdoors)
▸ Non-staining and colorless formulation with little to no odor
▸ Packaged in a ready-to-use, 30-gram syringe with plunger for easy application
With its effective mode of action, durable formulation and excellent acceptance among ants, you can trust Optigard ant gel bait to offer the control you need to help provide a long-lasting, ant-free environment for your customers.
The Perfect Formula for Ant Elimination
The sugar-based gel matrix of Optigard ant gel bait is highly attractive to ants, which makes it extremely effective. Other baits can be too gooey, which prevents ants from transporting them back to the colony. However, the consistency of Optigard makes it easy for ants to carry to the colony and share with nestmates.
Optigard ant gel bait is also known for its durability under harsh environmental conditions. The formulation resists degradation caused by high temperatures and can retain its palatability for more than two weeks. Ants will continue to feed on Optigard ant gel bait even if the product dries out over time and the active ingredient becomes concentrated. This long-lasting effect reduces the chance of call backs and requires fewer applications.

User questions & answers
Question: | I have the colony under the kitchen cabinet on top of the refrigerator where do I apply the bait? I am desperate |
Answer: | I used it in small amounts all around, not in a perimeter line. I still have some left. I guess you can make 5 inches lines all around or something similar. Good luck. |
Question: | what is the shelf life of this product |
Answer: | They wouldn't carry it away from the nest. They would take it to the nest. Otherwise they wouldn't touch it. |
Question: | Barlett Tree service suggested this product to pour on the ground around a tree to kill carpenter ants in the tree. Do you think this would work |
Answer: | It is Protein. It is highly recommended to also use Maxforce FC Carpenter Bait Gel which is a sugar bait. You should always give ants a choice as they may be in the mood for either a protein (granule) or a sugar (gel) bait. |
Question: | Is this a sweet bait? Protein? Fat? All |
Answer: | Yes it can be applied inside and outside, sunlight not an issue, should get picked up pretty quickly, but yes easy to clean, do not over apply. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why is the pricing so weird? It's actually 2x more in bulk! Did someone make a mistake? Sorry for the rhetorical question, silly vendor person |
Answer: | It has to do with who the actual "seller" is. If you select a quantity of "1", in this case, it is "sold and fulfilled" by Amazon. If you select a quantity of "2" it is "sold" by another company while still being "fulfilled" by Amazon. Yes, both quantities are, as of this writing, "fulfilled" by Amazon but that just tells you that Amazon stores, packages, and ships both items(1 and 2 packs) even though there are, in reality, two different "sellers". If you click back and forth on the quantity selector you'll see the "sold by" name change. Look just under the price after you switch. The seller of the 2 pack sets the price whereas the seller of the 1 pack(Amazon) sets its own price. I'm sure Amazon buys the 1 pack in very large quantities and, therefore, can get a bigger discount, per piece, than the other "seller" can get, per piece, for the 2-pack. |
Question: | How safe is this product in the kitchen? We have a few ants crawling around our kitchen sink and would like to place one of these bait stations on our kitchen counter. Bad idea? Thanks |
Answer: | This is a generally safe product according to my research. Make sure to read the packaging and follow direction. (FOR INDOOR USE READ THE FOLLOWING) One lesson I learned the hard way: the sugary syrup is irresistible to ants, even though it is laced with poison. This means when you use Tarro, you're actually providing access to free food! The poison will work on the ants and it takes about 18-24 hours to kill them... but as you wait after 24 hours, Tarro syrup will attract other thriving colonies into your home. They'll follow the same rich trails laid behind by the previous colony and even scavenge on the carcases of the previously fallen colony. This cycle will continue, attracting ants from far away reaches and allowing them to setup massive colonies within your home. This is especially true with Argentine ants (available throughout the world), which form massive colonies with multiple queens - a trait unique to this type of ant, whereas others will battle for territory. So the lesson learned is simple... once the initial 1 or 2 swarms die down, remove all baits and all forms of food from open spaces in your home; patch up all openings in walls, baseboards, cracks around windows, etc; apply perimeter pesticide around your home; and look for signs of wandering ants in the next week. If you see more ants then you missed an opening and already have an established colony in your wall.... repeat!! Just don't leave out Tarro and keep replenishing, especially in the case of Argentine ants. |
Question: | Is this safe to have around pets? I have a curious cat |
Answer: | I'd say no. My cat knocked one of these over once and licked the syrup. She was fine but it wasn't a fun afternoon (trip to the vet, etc.). Terro sells a version of this that encloses the bait in plastic and has sticky squares to attach them to the floor, counter, or other surfaces. I use those instead now. |
Question: | I have a baby in the house and I would like to use this product to kill ants in my house. Any precautions you suggest before I use this product |
Answer: | The ant trails at my house sometimes go from the floor to the ceiling. I turn the bait so that the liquid will not run out and use Scotch tape to tape it to the wall next to the ant trail. I tape the bait high enough that babies and grand children cannot get to it. It usually takes two days for the ants to disappear. Then three days after they disappear, they return to the trap. Another two days and they disappear again. The second time they disappear is usually the last time I see them at that location. |

TERRO Liquid Ant Baits
Ants can be a problem anywhere – in the home, at work and everywhere in between. To kill common household ants, place TERRO Liquid Ant Baits in areas where they attract foraging ants that take the bait back to the nest. As the bait circulates through the colony, it kills the ants you see and the ones you don’t. The new and improved snap-off tab makes the stations easy to use. To open the bait, hold the station vertically and twist the tab. This opens up the station and allows ants to access the bait. Place the entire station on a flat surface, keeping the ant bait inside the station. Plus, the closed bait stations prevent the bait from drying out to provide the ants with a continuous supply of liquid, day and night. Note: complete control may take up to two weeks.
How Liquid Ant Bait Works
Since this is a bait, initially you will see more ants – but don’t worry, this is a good thing. Why? As ants forage for food, they are easily attracted to the sweet, sugary liquid inside the bait stations. After finding the bait, worker ants consume it and leave behind a pheromone trail leading back to the colony. This trail lets other worker ants know where the newly discovered food supply is. This is why you will see more ants in the beginning.
Meanwhile, the active ingredient, Borax, is slowly interfering with the ant’s digestive system, ultimately killing it, but leaving enough time for the ant to go back and share the dose with the rest of the colony. This slow kill is necessary so that foraging ants can make several trips to the bait. The communal nature of an ant colony allows the bait to be spread to hundreds, if not thousands, of individual ants.
How to Use Liquid Ant Baits
TERRO Liquid Ant Baits are very easy to use. Before placing the bait stations, be sure to remove other sources of food, such as crumbs, sugar and grease spots to prevent attracting ants elsewhere. Do not place bait where you’ve already sprayed insecticides, as the pests may avoid the bait stations.
- Hold the bait station firmly with bait pack tab facing up. Break off the tab being careful not to spill the bait.
- Place the bait station label side up on a flat surface near signs of ants. Place additional bait stations anywhere they may enter your home. For best results, use all bait stations to ensure a sufficient supply for the ants.
- Monitor placements regularly, but do not interfere with the pests or bait stations. Replace when bait is depleted. Complete control may take up to two weeks.
- Once ants are controlled, replace the baits every 3 months to keep them from returning.

Question: | Is this safe to use around plant |
Answer: | They suspend in water |
Question: | Why can’t this be shipped to my address in Minnesota |
Answer: | 6 inch.. Baby brushes at 4.5 I think.. Babies for the spring.. Big ones for late summer and fall |
Question: | What if the ground isn’t moist before application? Do the granules have to be wet to work |
Answer: | They work well on largemouth but you will get more bites on the baby brush hogs for sure ! I like the big ones because I have caught several big fish on them and tournament fishing you have to catch some bigger fish to compete |
Question: | Why will this state that it will not ship to my address in Texas, however, no problem with the shipping of the same product that is in the 4 lb size |
Answer: | In my opinion, this bait is best used for flipping into heavy cover, like weeds, grass or lay-down logs, etc. I rig it 'texposed' with a 5/0 extra-wide gap hook and a 1/2 ounce(or heavier, depending on the cover) bullet weight. If this terminology is unfamiliar to you, there are lots of good videos on youtube- it's abit complicated to explain with text, but by actually watching someone do it, it's not hard at all to learn. Use heavy line, at least 20# if you're using mono or fluorocarbon, but I personally use braid, 50# or even 65#, and a stout rod.All that being said, one CAN use the smaller sizes as a drop shot bait. Here is where spinning gear and lighter line, 8# or 10# test, depending on cover/water clarity, can come into play. Again, youtube can show you how to rig a Brush Hog on a drop shot rig. |

Question: | why are there two types of tips for the syringe? which is best for outside application |
Answer: | Size of the granules. |
Question: | How do you put this product out so my cat won't get it |
Answer: | used to be .. BASF bought them years ago . |
Question: | There are two types of tips for the syringe, metal and plastic. Why? which is best for outdoor use |
Answer: | This ant killer is great because it wipes out the whole nest - not just the ants you actually see. Ant workers carry the granules back to the nest where the other ants will eat it and die. After a week or so you should see a major difference in ant activity until eventually you will see no activity at all because they are all dead. |
Question: | Are there four tubes in this package |
Answer: | I only used it on carpenter ants and I could not get the ants to eat or carry it back to the nest. I ended up using another ant poison. |

User questions & answers
Question: | does it kill sugar ants |
Answer: | Yes! |
Question: | Will this product kill tiny ants? Also, will it get rid of the entire colony what is already nested in your house? Thanks |
Answer: | It kills every ant on your property if you use it right. It was more effective than my pest control companies stuff. Been using it for years. I am back here to order more. Don't use before it rains and use the whole product as it will degrade if you open and let it sit. |
Question: | Has anyone used this around lizards or squirrels? Or would anyone use it around these critters |
Answer: | I have used this product for a couple of years now. It works great. I sprinkle it around my home and around my yard perimeter. I have not seen a decrease in the gecko's/lizards so I assume they are ok. I don't think squirrels are attracted to it either. The product works great for about 45-60 days. |
Question: | My ants ignore this bait completely. They are not interested in sugar or p.n.butter either. What's the solution |
Answer: | Amdro perimeter bait is a preventive solution for around the outside of the house to prevent ant from coming inside. If you already have ants in your home, try a different solution...such as Terro Liquid and bait. They shouldn't ignore that. You will have to put up with an ant trail for a couple of days, but they will go away. |

Why is Bait Better?
Bait is considered one of the most effective methods for killing ants. Bait works even when you can't find the nest and unlike contact pesticides, bait can wipe out the entire colony by destroying the queen.
Bait is designed to taste like food, so it is enticing to ants. Once worker ants find the bait, they bring it back to be shared with the queen and the rest of the colony. Once the queen and other ants eat it, the whole mound dies.
As a means to ensure that the bait is shared with all the ants in the colony, there is a delayed reaction before the bait begins to take its full effect and kill all the ants in the colony. Therefore, bait is considered to be more effective than contact killers since bait is shared with the entire colony, while contact killers will only kill ants that come into contact with the product.
With AMDRO, it's game over for ants.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does Ant Bait take to work?
The active ingredient in AMDRO works with delayed action, ensuring worker ants have time to share the bait with the colony. Typically, the bait will begin to kill the queen within one week of application and will kill the colony within two weeks of application.
What is the best way to treat for ants I found inside my home?
If there are ants already inside your home, we recommend doing two things. First, use one of the AMDRO Kills Ants products listed for indoor usage above to kill the ants that are already inside. Second, apply AMDRO Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Bait granules around the outside of your home to prevent ants from getting inside.
Do I have to reapply granules if it rained after being put down?
For best results, we recommend not applying the product when the ground is soaking wet or when heavy rains are expected.
Product description
DESCRIPTION: Advance Carpenter Ant Bait is specially formulated to kill carpenter ants. Advance can be used indoors and outdoors to control the ant population. This carpenter ant bait formulation provides for the carpenter ant's dietary needs while using the delayed-action insecticide Abamectin. This product works well when used in combination with a bait gel such as Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel. USE: Advance Carpenter Ant Bait can be used outdoors as a broadcast application around and close to the perimeter of the structure (8oz. per 1/2 acre), or on the interior inside wall voids or in areas where ants forage. Do not use in areas that have been treated with insecticides or sprays. This will cause the bait to be unattractive to the ants. Always read the label! Abamectin B1 is a GABA inhibitor that interferes with the normal functioning of an insect's nervous system and begins affecting ant populations within 24 hours. This type of insecticide allows the ants time to take the bait back to the nest where it is distributed throughout the colony. Reproduction of the colony halts once the queens have been eliminated and the workers, who carried the bait, perish. Instructions: ADVANCE Carpenter Ant Bait is a ready-to-use product for use in controlling numerous ants both indoors and outdoors. This bait formulation combines a mixture of foods and the delayed action insecticide, Abamectin. This insecticide acts to reduce the population of worker ants and can cause an immediate halt in egg production resulting in colony elimination. Avoid use of other insecticides or sprays on or near ADVANCE. OUTDOORS BROADCAST APPLICATION: Use this product at a rate of 1 lb. per acre. Apply the product as uniformly as possible. Repeat application as necessary. SEE LABEL FOR COMPLETE DIRECTIONS

User questions & answers
Question: | does this kill all species of ants |
Answer: | Presumably (but not verified scientifically) YES as it kills the Pharaoh ants which ARE established as the toughest common household ant species to kill. |
Question: | Can I dillute and spray this using a bottle sprayer (on ant trails going up some tree trunks |
Answer: | I don't know if it can be diluted and sprayed, but that is unnecessary regardless. All you need do is deposit some of the gel from the syringe in a few spots along the ant's trail, at the base of the tree and higher (it should stick to the bark). The ants will be all over it. They'll bring it back to their nest for the queen. Give it a few days, and you'll be pleased with the results! |
Question: | What is the active ingredient? What is the character of the attractant: sweet, protein, other |
Answer: | According to information on previous review the active ingredient is Fipronil. According to Wikipedia "It is a slow acting poison. When used as bait, it allows the poisoned insect time to return to the colony or harborage. In cockroaches, the feces and carcass can contain sufficient residual pesticide to kill others in the same nesting site. In ants, the sharing of the bait among colony members assists in the spreading of the poison throughout the colony. With the cascading effect, the projected kill rate is about 95% in three days for ants and cockroaches. Fipronil serves as a good bait toxin not only because of its slow action, but also because most, if not all, of the target insects do not find it offensive or repulsive." Regarding whether the attractant is "sweet" or "protein" -- I really don't know; however, the ants that we killed had been attracted to sweet thing. |
Question: | Does it kill carpenter ants |
Answer: | Yes. I have used this to kill carpenter ants. |

Sprays are contact killers
Sprays only kill the pests you see. Ants not sprayed continue to thrive inside the nest.

User questions & answers
Question: | So is this mainly a repellent, poison, or both? And how long does it last till the next application |
Answer: | Description states ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Use it in kitchen, but not on counter/food prep area |
Question: | what color is this? White powder? How big are the granules? Similar to Sugar in the Raw |
Answer: | If you putting it into cracks or holes that ants are entering house from yes. Don't just spray around in open areas, there are other products for that. This is like a gel that fills holes and cracks and it stays there to keep killing. |
Question: | Is it harmful to outdoor pets |
Answer: | I would use this foam and the spray and the powder just to be on the safe side. I find the spray works well on trees and foam works well into holes and cracks. That said I have not used this on termites only ants and carpenter ants |
Question: | Why does the label say this doesn't work for fire ants even though some reviewers have said they worked on fire ants |
Answer: | If you find the source. My understanding Carpenter ants spread their colony with the flying ants. Find the source or nest where the queen is and spray foam into holes or cracks and regular spray ants on their backs so they carry into the nest and powder in a circle around the whole colony the nest will possibly collapse |

TERRO Perimeter Ant Bait Plus
Prevent ants from coming inside by stopping them outside with our TERRO Perimeter Ant Bait Plus Granular! At TERRO we value baiting ants as it is ideally the best way to remove the entire colony vs. just a few ants. This granular bait can be applied around the home for perimeter protection against a large variety of ants. Get protection for up to 4 weeks with this long-lasting product.
Best Used For
This product is best used outside, around the perimeter of the home, on ant hills, and as a general large application in the yard.
Not Just for Ants
While this is most commonly used with ants, this bait can also kill other outdoor pests including cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, silverfish, slugs, and snails.
Weather-Resistant Granules
Since we know re-applying can be a pain, we ensured this formula is long-lasting with protection up to 4 weeks! These weather-resistant granules can withstand rain and keep baiting ants all over the yard.
Easy to Use Shaker
No need for a spreader with this easy-to-use shaker canister. Simply open the shaker canister and sprinkle granules in a 2-4 foot band around the home.
Why Baiting?
Where there is one ant, there are many. Ants share food with their entire colony, ensuring everyone gets a little bite. The active ingredient ultimately kills the primary worker ant after it eats it, but it works slowly enough that it gives time for the first ant to go back to the colony and share the bait. By baiting you can kill the entire colony vs. just the few ants you see.
Product description
TERRO Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits are ideal for large ant infestations. It attracts and kills all common household ants including Argentine ants, ghost ants, cornfield ants, pavement ants, acrobat ants, white footed ants, little black ants, odorous house ants and other sweet eating ants. To attract and kill ants, simply place the pre-filled, ready-to-use liquid bait stations outdoors in areas where ants are observed and, if desired, secure baits with the stakes provided. The bait stations can also be placed on decks, or in garages or basements without using the stakes. Ants typically follow defined trails from the nest to food or water. Placing the outdoor ant baits close to these trails will improve control. The patented outdoor ant baits prevent the liquid bait from drying out, providing the ants with a continuous supply of food, day and night.

User questions & answers
Question: | How do I tell If they are empty? Unlike the indoor traps they are not clear |
Answer: | The trap should be replaced every 3 months. |
Question: | We haver grease eating ants. Is this the right product |
Answer: | Terro says product is for "Attracting and killing all common household ants including Argentine ants, ghost ants, cornfield ants, pavement ants, acrobat ants, white footed ants, little black ants, odorous house ants and other sweet eating ants." Terro is a sweet bait; grease eating ants are attracted to protein. They might go for Terro; however if protein sources are still to be found in your house they will probably ignore the bait. I haven't had a problem with grease eating ants, but I understand that from folks who have that the Combat formula is better for attracting grease eating ants. You can also make your own baits for grease eaters by mixing boric acid (a white powder you can find in drugs stores or hardware stores) with peanut butter. Just make sure that the bait is out of reach of kids and animals (I have used boric acid/watermelon bait successfully with sweet-eating ants. However, it can only be used indoors, as sun dries it up and rain washes it away.) Good Luck! |
Question: | Will this work on fire ants |
Answer: | Yes absolutely I had the worst ant problem I have ever seen when I moved into my new home. They moved in because of a drought in Texas. The first two days I did not see much of a difference and was about to write a bad review, but I had to go out of town, I left and when I came back the next week there were no more ants, not a single one, in fact it has been almost a year and I still haven't seen one inside or outside since. This stuff is amazing. Also my dog ate 2 of the yard baits we were worried he would get sick but he was perfectly fine that's a plus also. |
Question: | Will these work for carpenter ants |
Answer: | Carpenter ants infest every tree on my property and I found them foraging inside the garage (very bad news). Mostly for the garage, but also because I have one very nice pin oak, I placed 2 of these just inside the garage door and at the base of the tree and within 1 month no more ants. So, I guess it works on carpenter ants. However, if you use the trap per the package instructions the carpenter ants are too large to enter. What you do instead is push down and rotate as instructed to puncture the internal pouch then very carefully lift the cup back up to its original position and snap it into place. This opens the trap all the way around an the carpenter ants can enter. I intend to buy more as it works on almost every ant on my property. And that's a lot of different types of ants. You might also try Bayer Advance 375A. Its a protein based poison and if the ants don't have a sweet tooth that day they go for it. The terro traps make excellent bait stations for the 375A once the liquid is gone. |

TERRO Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits
When it comes to ants, baiting should be your first choice. Try TERRO Outdoor Liquid Ant Bait Stations. These large bait cups can actually be used inside or outside and work to eras the entire ant colony. Sweet eating, common household ants will run to the baits and carry the bait back to the Queen of the colony. Once the Queen has received the bait, the rest of the colony dies off.
Simple to Use
These pre-filled ready-to-use bait stations convenient and easy to install around your home or yard where ants have been observed. Stakes are included to secure the stations on various surfaces, including grass or gravel. Use without the stakes indoors in the home, basement, or garage as well!
What Type of Ants?
Luckily, most ants are sweet eating and love out bait. Our TERRO Liquid Ant Bait works with all common household ants including: Argentine ants, ghost ants, cornfield ants, pavement ants, acrobat ants, white footed ants, little black ants, odorous house ants, crazy ants, big headed ants and other sweet eating ants.
How it Works
When it comes to ants, always try to start with baiting. Unlike contact killers, which only target visible worker ants on your property, these baits include slow-acting ingredients that have a delayed effect on the ant's digestive system. This allows ants to feed and return to the colony where they can spread the bait to the young and queen. During this time, the number of ants may increase as they swarm to feed on the sweetened liquid before they begin disappearing altogether.
