| Answer: | The difference is it’s not 9 foot all the way around the more ribs you have the more consistent the circle is and the size, when there’s less ribs on a supposedly 9 foot umbrella you end up with 7 1/2 at certain points which Is not what you’re looking for when you’re looking for 9 foot all the way around. So my advice is buy a umbrella with as many ribs as you can get on it to keep this size consistent all the way around |

It is the integral part of the umbrella, not only with water filled it provides an unshakable support of the umbrella when I lower down the base by the rotater wrench, by the same control you can lift up the base exposing the underneath wheels so the base is freelly moved, the wrench can be detached and inserted into the lower part of the umbrella stem, you then rotate the umbrella 360 degrees . Very neat design. It is the base which does the job. I give both the umbrella and the base 5 stars. |
