Answer:	My beach umbrella rod is in two pieces. The pointed end piece didn't fit, so I do not use that piece. The other end works in it. It does make the umbrella closer to the ground, but my umbrella is big enough that if positioned right in the sun, it gives ample shade for me to sit in a lawn chair under it.

Answer:	Yes. There are anchoring pins to hold it down. It's still not strong enough to hold against a strong wind - you'd need to brace it a bit, but you absolutely can stick it in the grass.

Answer:	I used it off and on last summer and they seemed to last July thru September. I highly recommend bringing it in each night as we left it out and the rain and weather damaged some of the lights. Some of the outside lights won't even turn on now. I ended up purchasing string lights this year and won't be using this light.

Answer:	I just learned it’s not waterproof. Mine will no longer shut all the off after it got wet. The 4 smaller LEDs now stay on in a very dim state. Got about 10 mos out of it so $1/mo isn’t a bad deal I guess lol
