Answer:	No idea on the wind rating. It it gets windy we just close it down. It is an oblong pole if there is such a pole. 3 1/2" x 2 1/4'. Pretty sturdy.

Answer:	I measured mine. From ground to crank is 42”. From inside stand to crank is 45”. So depends on how high your table is and clearance from inside stand to crank.

Answer:	I would definitely consider them to be aluminum. They do break and/or bend under extreme windy situations. My wine environment is unique, not the average backyard wind, so don't think they are poor quality. Under normal conditions they've been great!
