Answer:	The difference is it’s not 9 foot all the way around the more ribs you have the more consistent the circle is and the size, when there’s less ribs on a supposedly 9 foot umbrella you end up with 7 1/2 at certain points which Is not what you’re looking for when you’re looking for 9 foot all the way around. So my advice is buy a umbrella with as many ribs as you can get on it to keep this size consistent all the way around

Answer:	I think yes! I used the second instruction ( filled with water and sand) and they turned really heavy and made my unberella truly stable! I don't know about Aldi store umbrella.

Answer:	I don't recommend it. We filled these with small pea pebbles which were easier to pour into the hole or opening of the bases. The Abba comes with a flimsy funnel and thus I believe concrete would make a mess. Concrete will also dry very quickly and might produce air pockets making the volume to weight ratio less effective. Keep in mind that our umbrella remained stationary throughout the winter with the Abba filled with pebbles while our heavy cast iron 9' table and chairs were blown across our deck. Answer:	The pole is 1 1/2-inches in diameter. It will fit your standard 2-inch base with the 1 1/2-inch insert. If you're buying a new base, I recall the literature with the umbrella recommending a 50-lb or heavier base.

Answer:	This umbrella could not be closed when used with my 30" height patio table. I solved this problem by dropping a 50-cent PVC pipe fitting into the bottom of the base before installing the umbrella. This brought the height up just enough to allow me to close the umbrella without removing it from the table. You might be OK with a 28" height table. I live in the windy Caribbean and hardly ever close the umbrella. It is rock-steady with a 75lb base. Wouldn't use it with anything lighter.

Answer:	not in the south it doesnt.....seems to have many very small pin holes in canopy for whatever reason you can feel heat of sun come through.....yes its better than no canopy over your head but not by much. will not buy another for this reason

Answer:	I’m not sure how stable it would be as a stand alone umbrella. It’s fairly heavy duty and goes middle of table to the holder on ground.
Question:	How can I purchase a replacement extension pole for my umbrella? The top is fine, but the bottom pole bent during a recent storm
Answer:	To be truthful it probably is cheaper to buy a new umbrella and use the bottom pole for now and have a different color top for when you want a change! This is the best umbrella I have owned! But we are also in a windy area and we use a rubber strap when not using it and it doesn't let the wind blow the umbrella up. We also use a heavy cast iron base. Hope this helps!

Answer:	That’s a relative question. I have 5 of these around my pool and they are all cemented in planters with 100 lbs of concrete. A storm knocked one over a few weeks ago along with the planter and it was pertly fine afterward.
