Answer:	I am not sure if all that will fit in there. I use the bag as a work backpack since I work in nursing. The binder and drumsticks should fit in there. The bag had lots of compartments but is smaller in comparison to a similar bag I got from a local Ross but I messed up the zipper and couldn't find another one. You probably need to check a store and actually be able to look at a bag in person to gauge of your stuff will fit.

Answer:	There are lots of pockets in this bag. The strap pocket is more for cash or cards. The pocket in the second compartment is the perfect size for a phone. I have a LG v10 with an otter box and it fits fine.

Answer:	No, the bag is around 10 inch wide and 16 or so tall. The main compartment's zipper opening clearance would be around 10 maybe 11 inches. So tablets and the like your fine, but anything bigger wont work. You would want a full size sling bag vs this smaller one.

Question:	Is there space in the backpack to store food or is there just room for the dishes
Answer:	I bought the backpack to give as a gift, but I did inspect it, and there is definitely space to store food.
Question:	How large are the plates
Answer:	Standard size dinner plates
Question:	Are the straps and trim on the outside of the backpack real leather or vinyl
Answer:	Sorry thought leather. We gave it as a wedding present so only going off my memory.
Question:	How does the main compartment open? Flap or zip? Does it open wide
Answer:	There is an initial flap that magnetically snaps (this is the area that you see with the straps), once you have opened that you there are two compartments with zippers. The main one is at the top. It is fairly deep and holds a lot of items and it is insulated. I would say that it opens fairly wide, we packed a lot of food in them, along with some small ice packs. Obviously it is not one for more than one day, but it works great for a picnic, or day hike. The other compartment is smaller and closer to the bottom and it also zips. It is the one that houses the plates, utensils, etc. This is a very high quality product. My husband and I took it with us while hiking in Zion's Canyon, Utah and the Grand Canyon, Arizona. We had another day pack, but this one was really nice as we were able to pack our lunches and snacks. There is a side pocket that also zips and is also insulated that can hold water bottles, or mini bottles, etc.
