Answer:	I have no idea about comparisons as this is the one and only 'Brolly' of this type I have ever bought. This particular one would probably only 'hold' one person if they lay lengthwise inside the shelter. We planned on having only our heads and torsos in the shelter in which case, it will hold up to three 'half' people lying side-by-side. We bought it for shade only and not as a shelter. It would, however, hold your beach items whilst you went for a swim and there are a couple of side pockets where you could stash small items (which I would NOT do in case it blew away and took my phone and wallet with it). It is extremely simple to erect, has no central pole (it actually goes up like one of those little food umbrellas one uses in the kitchen) and also has some pegs and guy ropes to anchor it if one is permitted to do so (some beaches do not allow one to use the ropes as it is then considered to be a structure rather than a shade provider like a beach brolly). I do hope this helps your research and ultimate decision.

Answer:	I haven't weighed it but it is very light. Since they say 3.4 lbs is its shipping weight, it can actually be even lighter. As for the previous answer about how hard it is to fold it, you need to practice 1-2 times before taking it out. I hadn't, so first time on the beach I had to look up a video on youtube to fold it. :-) But it was just fine afterwards. And after a couple months of using it 1-2-3 times a week it's still as strong as new.

Answer:	Not exactly sure what "lots" means--if you are looking for super thick padding, as if you were laying on a really thick comforter--then no, this will not meet your expectations. HOWEVER, I have one of these blankets and just recently purchased one for a dear friend of mine. I have 2 kids (under age of 5)--this blanket is ALWAYS in our family car--it has gone to softball games, picnics, birthday parties, the beach, the park you name it. It is sooooo easy to clean! Unfolds and folds in 10 seconds tops...awesome strap to carry on your shoulder making it super portable and even in the blistering sun for hours and hours--it will never get hot. Sand sweeps off of it like a breeze--doesn't soak up spills or water! It is the perfect outdoor blanket! Ours is going on 5 years old (I actually registered for it when I was pregnant with my first) and it seriously is one of the best gifts I could have received. The girlfriend I just bough this blanket for is a beach bum (she has no kids LOL)--she has already used it a number of times and can't stop raving about it. Question:	Is this machine washable
Answer:	As of Sept 2020, the tag says it cannot be washed in a machine. I tried it any, using the cold washer settings. The blanket didn't do well in the spin cycle and it came out soaking wet, with water running off of it. However, I hung it on my drying rack and it was dry in about 18 hours.
