Answer:	I don't know the specifics of what it can handle but it is not very stable especially when you try to get out of it.

Answer:	I use this chair indoors and out on a patio and it’s great! I would guess that it would work just as well in sand because once it’s open, you can recline and reposition yourself while the base remains stationary. Don’t know if the sand would scratch the paint though.

Answer:	Yes, they are gray... and not very light weight...my husband (280 lbs) broke it first time sitting in it!!! Ya get what ya pay for!!!

Answer:	These chairs are a home run! We are extremely happy with them. Came as a set of four. They are strong and very sturdy. Based on our weights I would say 220 lbs. easily.
