It also passed an impact test that drops 150 lbs ten times from a height of 8". These are both a limit to pass as commercial grade. This is the best standard that we test to at this time. | Answer: | Yes. My understanding is that polywood “lumber” is made of recycled plastic bags. My polywood rocking chairs are very heavy — heavier than the wooden rockers that they replace. They do not shrink and swell, like the old wood ones, and don’t need to be repainted. For me, this is a big plus. You did not ask, but I’ll give you my observation about colors. My white chairs are lovely, resembling pristine painted white chairs. But I have seen dark green polywood and red polywood. Neither color equals the visual appeal of classic dark green or red painted chairs. |
