Answer:	I don't know if this particular company sells just the hammock without stand. (They did when we bought it several years ago). But, I don't see why you can't buy any of the other brands, as long as it can fit the stand. The stand has a very generic hook. Just confirm dimensions and the ends for compatibility.

Answer:	The rope is the same thickness as the more expensive hammocks I have purchased in the past (such as LL Bean hammocks) and appears to be 100% cotton. Each rope end has been dipped in wax for protection.

Question:	Is the pad washable
Answer:	Bought this for my husband as a father's day gift last year, he LOVES it! The only time I've seen it roll or flip is when it's windy out and nobody's in it. My husband is over 6' and weighs around 220 he naps in it ALL summer long with our dog after working in the yard. I've laid in in and I'm 5'4 120 pounds and so far it hasn't tossed me. You can adjust the ropes to make them more taught, they're VERY sturdy. Hope this helps.

Question:	i'm thinking about buying one of these to take camping with me. how heavy is the frame when in the case and about how big
Answer:	It is if you put it on the tightest link available. When you sit in it though it still gives some....which is good...so you can get into it. I have ours on the tightest link. I do really like this hammock! I got the grey fabric. One side has a pattern, the other side is a solid grey.

Answer:	At fist I thought mine was to short, but I pushed on the stand to get the hammock to hook on, the ropes do stretch and I have actually been able to adjust accordingly. Ours is really "tippy" so watch out!

Answer:	If your car camping there great because you don't need trees and there very easy to fit 3 under a 10x10 screen pop up then move them one handed as needed. Backpacking, think taking a bag the size of golf glubs along so. I'm sure someone has done it, but carrying 2 3/4 of a miles wasn't fun.

Answer:	The sunbrella is bomb proof. It also feels smaller, more narrow, and not scratchy, but not as comfortable as cotton. It looks perfect after a season in the elements. I have also owned 2 cotton hammocks by this seller. They felt larger, stretchier, more comfortable, cost 1/2 the price, and were totally faded after one season in the elements.
Question:	What min distance should be between trees, if attached to them
Answer:	If you sleep solo in the center of a large Brazilian/Yucatan style hammock, you're going to get "walls" of cloth on either side of your head. You're supposed to lie diagonally in them, but even so you'e going to get a "wall" on one side of your head or the other. It feels claustrophobic if all you've ever done is sleep in a bed. That was me. But the feeling of cradling and the overall joint support you get after a snooze is incomparable and I got over the cons real fast--no aches and pains on waking! If the claustrophobia is a problem, get a single. But if you want something more like a bed experience, that's what they invented spreader bar hammocks for, but count on getting dumped out now and then. One compromise you can make is to put a really firm standard pillow under your head--it acts like a spreader enough to give you head space, but doesn't change the physics, comfort, and stability of sleeping on a flexible plane suspended from 2 poles.

Answer:	The stand from arm to arm is 9 1/2 feet long. The hammock stretched out flat on the floor is 12 ft long from hook to hook. The fabric part of the hammock is 7 1/2 ft long. When on the stand, I lay in mine lengthwise, and sometimes diagonal when I want to lay on my side or lay a little bit more flat. When camping and using tree straps I love to put it higher in the tree and lay in it sideways and swing it. It's comfortable in all directions!

Answer:	I have not had 2 people on it at the same time, so I cannot give you a response on the question. What I do like about the curved design is that when the winds blow, the hammock isn't turned sideways. Sorry I couldn't answer your question.
