Answer:	I am not a connoisseur of wood, but to me it looks and feels like teak, and it is definitely a very solid and sturdy wood, that endures more than some teak furniture we'd had before. Ours is all the time outdoors under blazing sun, rain and all sorts of weather and it's in very good shape. We varnished it once to give it a bit of shine, but other than that we are really satisfied with it.
Question:	I need to replace my hammock stand. The old one measured about 154 ½ inches long by 53 ½ inches in height by 53 in. The actual hammock measures 148 inches from ring to ring. Would this fit
Answer:	The actual wooden stand is 14' long, so unless you can add a small chain to both sides of your hammock, it will not fit.
Question:	How does the wood hold up in the weather
Answer:	Absolutely NOT TEAK wood. Looks like pine or fir wood with a not very convincing Teak colored stain! This wood will not hold up and will require frequent refinishing if left outdoors. I guess that's why it's no longer available They post false comments about the wood being teak in order to sell enough to change listings and repeat.

Answer:	It has some knots but overall looks nice quality . We have had it for one year.
Question:	I have a Mayan hammock that measures just under 12' from ring to ring. Is this 13' stand going to be too long? Thanks
Answer:	I would be concerned the other way honestly. My woven hammock with wooden bars measured about 11’ ring to ring and I had the same concern. What I discovered was that with the elasticity of the rope, I now have it stretched with no slack on the chain and my bottom slightly scraps the bottom once I’m settled in it. It’s not the stands fault, but I thought I would share my experience. Each side has a 12-18” chain, so there’s no concern about it being too short. I would just consider how much “give” your hammock fabric has before purchasing this particular stand.
Question:	Can this stand be used with a Brazilian hammock without spreader bars
Answer:	I'm really impressed with the stand. It will not tip without extreme effort. Each end has an eyes Hook. So you can hook any hammock on it. But I would think it would be a lot more comfortable with spreader bars.

Answer:	The hammock should be about 12' long for this stand. A 13' hammock would sag.

Answer:	Hello, usually the size of the hammock stand determines the size of canvas you order. For example, it you purchased a 12' ft stand then the canvas you look for will have to support that length.
Question:	I live in the snowy midwest. Do I need to put it in my garage for the winter
Answer:	I live in Asheville, NC. We do not get the harsh winters that you all get, but if you leave it out, I would give it a good coating with teakwood oil. That’s what it did when I first got mine. Also, set the legs on some sort of concrete pads, don’t let it sit directly on the ground. This will be the second winter mine will be out and it is doing fine.

Answer:	no it won't fit a 9 ft hammock cause the length on the top is like 11 feet lol. so u need chains
Question:	Does anyone use this with an eno double nest hammock, and does it fit well
Answer:	I've used it with an eno double nest - it doesn't reach to the hooks when they're in the top slot, but I was able to get it to work by adding a loop of paracord to each carabiner on the hammock to add a few inches at either end. If you're OK with adding something of the sort, it works well.
