How much space do I need for hanging my hammock?

• The ideal distance for hanging a hammock typically averages out to roughly 2 feet greater than the hammock’s total length from o-ring to o-ring. It’s best to plan on needing about 15 feet of open space to hang your hammock, though in reality, the actual distance tends to vary anywhere from 13-16 feet. A good rule of thumb: The closer you set your hanging points, the greater the curve, or arc, your hammock will have once it’s hung.

Answer:	I prop don’t recommend it! But you can put it in the wash on delicate! I did it and it was fine! But I was very skeptical at first! Your prop better off hand washing!

Answer:	I built a simple frame using 2x4's. Two 6' uprights on 3' cross-feet, between which are bottom and top support (each 12.5' long -- dictated by space I have). Bolt a chain (large enough for the biners to clip into a link) to the uprights near the top. Brace the uprights well using angles from cross-feet. All bolted together; over-engineered for safety. It's worked like a charm for years.

Answer:	Yes, all Pawleys Island hammocks (13 ft long) will work on all standard 15 ft stands perfectly. The hammock includes enough chain on either end to connect easily to the stand and allow to adjust how high off the ground you'd like it to hang.

Answer:	Yes. It comes with hooks you can attach to a tree however I have about 3 for our family and bought tree straps to wrap around the trees and attached the hammocks that way. I think it's safer and easier to adjust or move to another location.
