Answer:	I've used it with an eno double nest - it doesn't reach to the hooks when they're in the top slot, but I was able to get it to work by adding a loop of paracord to each carabiner on the hammock to add a few inches at either end. If you're OK with adding something of the sort, it works well.

Answer:	They are stainless steel. So they could stand up to a camp fire or grill. Though they are thin enough to discolor or warp of you did. I use a stainless steel water bottle to boil water in hiking and the soot that collect on the outside of it is A LOT. It gets very dirty.
