Sure. I weigh 250 and it supported me fine.Suncast website specifies a few models that you cannot sit on in their FAQ, but this model is not one of those.

Answer:	My deck box has a 43 inch end to end inside length. Most all of my long-handled garden tools, etc. have a 54-56 " length. So the answer is No. However, for the storage items I use the box is just right....those items being chaise lounge items for sunning; such as padded mats, covers, sheets, pillows and insect spray, tanning lotions, sun blocks..etc.. If I did needadditional storage space it would be no problem to purchase a larger model which, I believe is readily available from Suncast through Amazon.com.

Answer:	Depends on your definition of waterproof. Nothing in mine has ever gotten wet, even in hard rain. Would the same be true if it were completely submerged in water, probably not.

Answer:	I use a padlock on mine when I pit yard equipment in it in the summer. I use it on the deck for wood pellets in the winter. Works well for both.

Answer:	I had never tried, but just did and yes you can sit on it, it's too high for a small child to sit on and would probably hold two average weigh people sitting on it. I weigh 148lbs. It is very roomy inside and holds quite a bit. We got it for storing the grandkids outdoor toys and what we have put in there so far doesn't even fill half of it. Definitely would recommend this item.

Answer:	I have not. Sorry. The construction is pretty good. I do not know that our cushions have gotten wet. I would almost put something in the bottom to allow the towels to sit on that and not on the bottom...just in case. You could probably find some inexpensive wire rack for a shelf somewhere, set it on something and get it off the bottom. I have not had a leak, but water finds a way inside things.

Answer:	I agree with don't put weight on the extension ...it is very sturdy cart. Not that you asked but in the past someone asked if it is water proof...we moved ours outside in the weather and as long as doors are closed firmly there is no water after a rainstorm on the inside.

Answer:	Frankly, I think this product is way overpriced and is pretty skimpy. I read other reviews before I bought this item and thought it would be nice...it is just ok and I would not put anything other than plates on top of it...unfortunately no other companies make better/stronger products. because there is no competition this product sells but I would say it's pretty junky for the price. As the whole product is plastic, I'd be careful about anything on top of it that generates heat, so I would not even use an electric grill. I'd pay more for a sturdy product..this one is not worth the money..in hindsight, I would not have bought this product. We are moving and selling this item...doubt I'll get $10 for it as it doesn't look very nice or sturdy. DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING.l
Question:	Are the storage areas sealed? Will it keep bugs out
Answer:	The storage unit doors open and they are plastic so I wouldn't call them "sealed" although they close securely. Some bugs are pretty small so I would think they might get in although I live in the woods and have it on my back porch and I keep dishes, silverware etc in there and I have not seen a bug in there. I wouldn't be able to guarantee a yes to either question.
Question:	How well does this unit keep water out? Do items stored inside get wet
Answer:	I have my unit under an overhang roof, so I have not had to deal with the prep station getting wet. I will say that if water is hitting the unit straight from on top it will not leak but if the rain is running down the front of the unit, the doors are not a sealed fit. Things might get wet or damp inside.

Answer:	I don't have a fire pit, but I doubt it would melt if people sitting at the same distance were not uncomfortable.

Answer:	instructions says you can put a lock and shows where it goes, but there is No hole for a lock. you need to drill your own hole to use a lock. easy to do. I took me 2 min. w/ a 5/8 drill. Wife keeps her gardening tools in them.

Answer:	I must be honest, I NEVER even though about putting a cushion on this bench. I have it right by our pool, and we use it to store noodles, floats, and tubes. I do have a few pillows that I throw on it, but they usually end up on the ground anyway. In addition, there is nothing to tie or secure the cushion to, so it could be challenging to keep the cushions on the bench. The seat itself is only 45" wide by 16-7/8" deep, so you'd have to see if you could find something that would fit. You could possibly tie the cushions to the bench hinge, but that may alter the seal itself and my not sit right. Please post if you have any luck. :)
Question:	Can bugs get inside
Answer:	Not really, if you assemble it carefully, but some moisture will get inside if this item isn't under cover and the rain blows really hard. I store outdoor toys in this bench so I put them inside large black plastic bags & tie them. The toys, such as badminton sets and horseshoe sets never get wet but sometimes I find water on the bags. I live in south Louisiana and we get long, hard rain storms. When we have a sunny day, I open the bench and let the water on the bags dry up.

Answer:	A 20lb tank like used on a barbecue grill will not fit, it is too tall. But, I bought a 10lb short tank (2.5gallons) and it fits fine. You will have to drill a hole in the unit somewhere to run the hose through if this is to run a remote fire pit or something. I mounted a small tabletop fire pit to mine. The kind that mounts through an umbrella hole on a patio table. So the tank below connects to it through a hole I drilled in the lid.

Answer:	It appears to be all cedar....we gave it an oil based treatment and all wood responded the same...overall, we are pleased...

Answer:	I got mine within 5 days of ordering.
Question:	How will the wood weather? Will it gray
Answer:	It isn’t high quality wood. It just looks old after 2 years. The first season there was black mold on it so they sent me another top but they didn’t send the crown moldings that go around the edge. We didn’t change the top because we would have destroyed it. The corners of the crown moldings are starting to rot. This is not made from good quality wood like teak. The customer service sucks too. I didn’t treat it with any stains so maybe that is why it is looking old and worn but I wouldn’t buy it again. I would invest in a real teak potting bench.
Question:	How much weight can this bench hold
Answer:	I don’t know specifically, but it’s very sturdy and I believe it would hold a lot of weight. I had pretty large clay pots, some filled with soil, on the shelves most of the summer and there was no problem.

Answer:	The one I have is the Suncast Small SS601ST 22 it is the one with small raised sides. Suncast Small SS500ST 22 has more of a flat top. The numbers are different.
