Answer:	Yes you can use a 12v 105AH battery with a 20lbs thrust motor . I suggest you balance carefully because I was over turned by a wave from a passing high speed boat . I purchased a pair of out riggers to further stabilize the boat . also I now use 2 12v 125AH lithium batteries with a 30 lbs thrust motor . one battery on the starboard side , one battery on the port side well secured . One battery left me rowing up stream more than once .
