I do have a battery terminal switch that I disconnect when I am not fishing just to make sure one of my grandkids cannot activate the troll motor or create some other battery drain issue. I have two 24v trolling motors on a 24 ft pontoon boat that I never remove from my lake and the batteries are always fully charges. It is important to keep the terminals clean and assure the battery fluid level is maintained. Great charger!!

Answer:	The engine is complete and ready to install. I used it to replace a Briggs opposed twin and it bolted right in. you will need to get a kohler muffler kit to complete the install. I had to make some minor modifications to the hood mount brackets for the exhaust headers, but nothing an average inclined handyman cant do. the engine wiring plug may be different ant require some wiring mods, but is doable.
