is this a carbide chain

Answer:

I bought mine, originally from Lowes. I did order a replacement blade from Amazon. I have been using the original blade for almost 6 years. This is made from a very durable Japanese stainless steel. From Lowes it only came with one blade. I would guess only one blade from Amazon. This is the best saw I have every had. For small projects I don't even use my Roybi saw anymore. It is also a great pruning saw. Most of the time I use it as a finishing saw, for moulding, etc. You won't go wrong.

Answer:	I can't say as far as blade comparability, I would say that as far as durability, strength and price, this is one of the best, second only to the silky brand saws. Which, as far as I know the silkys cut better, but are known for blade breakage and bending. The wicked saws blade is very strong and cuts well. Overall it is surprisingly light, and compact. The blade seems to have some sort of coating that prevents rust, compared to other carbon steel tools (my knives and tomahawks rust easily, this one has not yet)

Answer:	The saw is normally sold as is, without a sheath, for around $35 to $40. The company that produces the saw also sells a multi-purpose sheath designed to hold the knife (folded or open) plus some additional accessories. It can be purchased separately for around $30. You can buy the knife and sheath as a combo (think it's called "Tree Pack") and save $10 off the price if bought separately.

Answer:	The only difference I found was that the yellow handle normally comes with a bone blade. I swapped blades and use the yellow handle one for hunting as is easier to see if I lay it in leaves. Use the black handle around the house to cut. I don't use this saw as a bone saw. Handles are Identical except in color.

Answer:	This is really more for limbing. I'm sure you could cut down a small tree, but it's going to take you a while. I'd look at a good bow saw for actually cutting down trees. This one would cut down a Christmas sized tree but I'd still go with the bow saw.
