Brand new never used mower received July 7th 2020 - wanted to charge the batteries before use and one battery was completely DEAD - was 1st told to get a hold of a local dealer - out of the 5 with in 50miles only one said they had a battery - but they wanted the mower as well. That's too much of a hassle just for a dead battery - hope this can get resolved through a swap. Tested mower with the one working battery and mower was fine - just need a working 2nd battery. |

| Answer: | I have the 19 in with two batteries. It came with a 40v 4ah and 2ah battery. The 40v 2ah has lasted at least 40 to 45 min and its the small battery. I have never depleted its power doing my yard and back alley. We have bermuda grass and my yard in front is about 80 x 40 my back yard is about 30 x 60 then i have a strip in the back alley. I love this lawn mower so far. No fuss no muss and plenty of power for my yard. The power increases when it goes thru thick grass then runs slower thru lighter grass on its own. Its is much quieter than my gas mower and lighter as well even though the deck is metal. From my perspective my brushless mower is a winner. |

| Answer: | As several people have stated, it dosn't come with a cord. You must buy a separate outdoor extension cord long enogh for your use. One person stated he used a 100 ft 10 amp cord. I hope he ment a 10 gage cord. I wouldn't recomend running a 13 amp motor on a cord rated for 10 amps. I use a 100 ft 14 gage cord. 14 gage wire is rated for 15 amps, 12 gage for 20 amps and 10 gage for 30 amps. I find the mower runs on the 14 gage without heating the wire at all. If the wire gets hot, you are using to small of a wire. Go to a smaller gage number to carry more amps. |

| Answer: | Yes but the owner's manual does a terrible job of explaining how. What you need to do is add more slack in the self-propel drive cable in the released position to slow it down. You do that by loosening the cable support nut near the top of the handle that clamps the self-propel cable to the handle. Once the nut is loosened somewhat, pull the end of the cable jacket (spiraled wrap around the center cable) a little further away from the engine and more towards the handle lever/bail. Retighten the cable nut. Repeat this just a little bit (2-3 turns of the spiral) at a time until you slow it down to the speed you want. A little movement can make a big difference so be careful. Reverse the process or take out slack to speed the walking pace up. Maximum speed is when there is very little slack in self-propel drive cable. Note: Even if you want the pace fast, there must be a little slack in the self-propel cable when the bail is in the released position otherwise the mower may creep forward even when you release the bail. Hope this helps and wish someone had already posted it so I didn't have to learn the hard way. I bought this model as a returned mower at 35% off the new price (over $115 off) and the only thing I have found wrong with it so far was this speed adjustment. It was set so fast that I almost had to run to keep up with it. I am becoming convinced that is why the owner probably took it back to the retailer with so little use. |

I contacted them and told them that it did not arrive as advertised, so they sent me a second 4ah battery. I believe this was a temporary thing, because I keep seeing the mixed batteries being shown. If you purchase one that is supposed to come with two 4ah batteries, then make certain they supply as advertised. |

| Answer: | There are 2 things that are known to cause premature death of a Lithium battery - whether it's a leaf blower, cell phone, or electric vehicle battery: Excessive heat and excessive state of charge/discharge. Lithium batteries do best in moderate temperature range and moderate state of charge, i.e. keep them cool (but not too cold) and try to charge/use them within the range of 80% to 20% state of charge, as much as possible. These batteries do have built-in safety circuitry to prevent overheating, overdischarging, and overcharging, but the setting is likely a compromise b/w runtime and longevity, so if you want to prioritize longevity then you might have to compromise on runtime. I live n Florida, and have a 5 year old 40v GW lawn mower and a leaf blower, with one 4Ah and two spare 2Ah batteries with no noticeable reduction in runtime yet. They do get heavy use, so I was not expecting them to last this long, but I do follow a few simple rules to protect the batteries. : 1. Always store the batteries partially charged - somewhere b/w 1-2 LED indicators. 2. Always store the batteries inside my climate controlled home, to protect them from temperature extremes and humidity. 3. Charge to full about 1 hour before use, and allow thme to cool down first before use. 4. While running the mower or blower, I check the charge indicator occasionally and change the battery when the indicator gets down to one LED. 5. I store the battery Never store the battery in fully charged, or discharged state. Between use, I store the batteries with no more than 2 LEDs. |

Add moisture to the mix and it's even shorter. On average battery charge is reduced by nearly half for thick grass that is holding any moisture. |
