One thing I do with this for a difficult weed, you can angle up on one wheel as you give a little push -- allowing the blades to catch the pesky resistant weed...This shape handle, plus the quality construction have allowed me to do that very effectively with little effort. I will note that the foam cover on handle is crumbling...but who cares, I wear gloves!

Answer:	I wouldn't describe it as adjustable, but there is some flexibility in how it is held. I'm five-two, and use it just fine, if that helps.
Question:	How do you sharpen the blades and how often should you sharpen
Answer:	Most of your home improvement stores will carry a reel mower sharpening kit that has a gritty paste, application brush, reel crank, and directions for about $15. The gist of it is you put the paste on the edges of the reel blades and the bed blade and use the crank to spin the reel for a bit (you can also use a drill with an attachment, much easier and faster). You may also have to adjust the bed blade. The whole process depends on your mechanical skills really, it can take anywhere from 20 mins to 1 hour. What ever you do please don't use a grinder or file as that will potentially ruin your mower by removing too much metal. When to sharpen depends on a lot of variables such as how often you mow, the type of grass or weeds you have etc. The best way to tell is if you consistently have rogue grass blades sticking up or patches of uneven grass where you mowed. I would expect most people would sharpen their reel mowers about twice a year.

Just how good is this mower for a 4 1/2 star rating if its manual ? Got annoying weeds that has grown almost up to my waist and I’m

So it was written when I bought it that it may have a hard time cutting some weed grasses as they are differently shaped perhaps or more slick, not quite sure why. But I notice that certain stemmed types done get cut at least on the first pass through but most everything else does. You will not have an easy time cutting through anything with any mower at that length as that is terribly over grown but at a even half a foot this mower will do a great job and so easy and satisfying to push. Just need to make sure you are clear of sticks and you’re good to go. I could not find any videos or extra manuals on ANY website it was almost like this mower was a one off or doesn’t exist or maybe it was still too new a more still but I found the last part of the instructions challenging and that I definitely needed to put some muscle into assembling it to get some stuff to lock in and fit. But once it did, I am super happy with it.

I’ve never used a bag, never dethatched, my zoysia is more than 35 years old and very healthy. I consider the grass clippings a gift from God. As far as where does the cut grass go, it stays pretty much right there. This is a very small mower if you use it that way. If the green stuff is very tall, we just had more than 10 days of rain, then I cut little narrow swathes. It is a weed eater with a deck. I had breast cancer 4 years ago. The treatment almost did me in. Up until then I did my own yard work. I’ve paid hundreds of dollars hiring idiots to scalp my zoysia and then take out my roses, Japanese maples, fig trees, lilies and plants large enough to see with weeders. I bought this little guy for me to use as it’s small enough for me use to mow my uneven lawn and it’s hard to scalp s rise budh if the weeder stays in the deck. I love this little guy.
