| Answer: | Even on the lowest setting it probably wouldn't hit the paver, or limestone stepping stones. I'm thinking it only goes to about 1.5 to 2 inch height. I can tell you this. It is very sharp and will probably cut clover as good as if not better than grass. I love this model of the Fiskars reel mower. It has the front shield which pushed back the bushes and the like so you can get up close to things. It's very light and easy to maneuver. It DOES take about 20% more effort to push than a regular gas mower, but, at my age(50+), I think it is a good workout and saves on gas and you emit no noise and/or air pollution, so I think it's a good thing to have. One thing that you will have to be careful of is to never let the reel nick the curb edge, or edging as you spoke of as it will dull that portion of the blades. If you shop around on Amazon, you can find a good deal on these. Prices varied a lot. Hope this helps |

| Answer: | As several people have stated, it dosn't come with a cord. You must buy a separate outdoor extension cord long enogh for your use. One person stated he used a 100 ft 10 amp cord. I hope he ment a 10 gage cord. I wouldn't recomend running a 13 amp motor on a cord rated for 10 amps. I use a 100 ft 14 gage cord. 14 gage wire is rated for 15 amps, 12 gage for 20 amps and 10 gage for 30 amps. I find the mower runs on the 14 gage without heating the wire at all. If the wire gets hot, you are using to small of a wire. Go to a smaller gage number to carry more amps. |

I’ve never used a bag, never dethatched, my zoysia is more than 35 years old and very healthy. I consider the grass clippings a gift from God. As far as where does the cut grass go, it stays pretty much right there. This is a very small mower if you use it that way. If the green stuff is very tall, we just had more than 10 days of rain, then I cut little narrow swathes. It is a weed eater with a deck. I had breast cancer 4 years ago. The treatment almost did me in. Up until then I did my own yard work. I’ve paid hundreds of dollars hiring idiots to scalp my zoysia and then take out my roses, Japanese maples, fig trees, lilies and plants large enough to see with weeders. I bought this little guy for me to use as it’s small enough for me use to mow my uneven lawn and it’s hard to scalp s rise budh if the weeder stays in the deck. I love this little guy. |

What I recall being directed to do is use a WD40 type product on the blades initially, just spray on them. Swirl the blades. I went by sound, the blades sounded better after spraying. My practice is spray after each use, once dry, before putting away, just to keep the rust off, and clear any grasses, etc. that have wrapped around the wheel joint and when dry brush off any stray grass, to keep rust from getting a foot hold. It was easy to assemble, fun to use. Glad I got it. |
