Answer:	I live in a heavy clay area. I have found that the tiller works better if the ground is wet. It also has trouble going around the roots of grass. However, if the gravel is loose, I see no reason it wouldn't work.

Answer:	It depends on how hard packed the ground is. It works for me weeding in my already tilled garden. Does not work very well on hard ground. May be able to rough up enough for grass seed.

Answer:	Been using ours for years in hard clay like soil with rocks, some huge. It has worked great. Every now & then a fairly big rock will get stuck in it and I need to work it out. However, finally after all these years of brutally beating the tiller, the tines are becoming weak. One broke last summer and another this summer. Still works good but we are searching to replace them. Most places appear to be out of stock. My husband has been planning to weld them back. But if we can find replacements, we are just going to buy new ones and save broken ones in case we need to repair them at a later date. They may discontinue product or someting so we will have them to fix if & when needed. I highly recommend for small/medium jobs. I use mine to till grass areas where I make new flower beds and also in our vegetable garden to weed around plants. My husband just said they evidently quit making the replacement tines as every site that shows they sell them is out of stock. Hopefully, he will find someone that has them. Otherwise, I guess he will be welding old ones. Will also hope that it works when he does. It has been a huge blessing for me. Answer:	I would say my battery's charge in 2 to 6 hours depending on how low you run them. a battery will make any where from 20 to 40 cuts depending on what your cutting how hard the wood.

Answer:	Not sure...will have to see how I can dampen mine to replicate this...however, while cutting way high in the tree on hard oak...mine would stop, I would pull it up, then start it and resume cutting, but after these sudden stops I changed batteries...mine tends to cut off when battery life is low...be sure you start with full charge. Otherwise I will have to google this problem for other ideas. I will clean and sharpen the unit with a battery so I can move the chain while spraying with DW40...or any bike chain lube....
Question:	I cut 7 to 8 branches, then the chain came off
Answer:	It is very common for a new chain to 'stretch' a bit more than during typical use. However, all chains will loosen up with use. Mine fell off 3 times the first day (30-40 branches, some large), until I got the feel of how tight it should be and it has been great since. Don't forget to oil it too.

Good to know replacements are so inexpensive on eBay 🙃 I guess if you’ve never used a mower before you might wonder where the grass goes. I’ve never used a bag, never dethatched, my zoysia is more than 35 years old and very healthy. I consider the grass clippings a gift from God. As far as where does the cut grass go, it stays pretty much right there. This is a very small mower if you use it that way. If the green stuff is very tall, we just had more than 10 days of rain, then I cut little narrow swathes. It is a weed eater with a deck. I had breast cancer 4 years ago. The treatment almost did me in. Up until then I did my own yard work. I’ve paid hundreds of dollars hiring idiots to scalp my zoysia and then take out my roses, Japanese maples, fig trees, lilies and plants large enough to see with weeders. I bought this little guy for me to use as it’s small enough for me use to mow my uneven lawn and it’s hard to scalp s rise budh if the weeder stays in the deck. I love this little guy.

Answer:	Also, the 1.5 amp weighs about half the other, so it is balanced. The 3.0 would make it top heavy.

Answer:	Dr Doug says yes, mike g. says no. The BV5600 already has a recall on it regarding the bottom lid coming undone to pose a laceration issue. In other words, you can lose fingers possibly if you don't get the new revised, better, improved, lite, less filling and lo-cal lid cover provided free by B & D. I bought the Harbor Freight $49 blower/vacuum unit and had to have my tailor sew in a metal zipper to replace the plastic one after returning three bags. But the plastic impeller broke finally after two year. Got brittle, I guess. I would suggest getting a metal impeller in the model you chose.

Answer:	No, the letter “B” at the end of the model indicates a bare tool and will not include a battery/charger or accessories.

Answer:	As long as the 1.5 AH battery is 20v Max Lithium Ion and is branded it by BLACK + DECKER, it is interchangeable and would work with that hedge trimmer.

Answer:	If the blower you have is part of Black and Decker's 20V MAX series, then the batteries will work for every tool in the series. And as an aside--you might want to consider buying a battery or two that is stronger than 1.5 ah. The hedge trimmer won't last too long with a 1.5 ah battery.

Question:	Are the trimmer, battery and charger of the LST136W (40V) and LCC140 identical? Description lists slightly different (non-existing?) part numbers
Answer:	The battery is a 40v, LBXR2036 serial CGG1436819012 The charger is LCS436 Type 1 A number embossed on charger plug is 2014 07 UE. As I said the battery worked well upon arrival but I have no way to test the charger.
Question:	Do you have to use the B&D pre round trim cord, or can you change out to something stronger. If you can change it out, do you still need to self wind
Answer:	You can use bulk string from any store, but you have to self wind it on the old Black and Decker spool. It must be same diameter string however. I Ind it strong enough for normal use.

Answer:	Yes it is included, but be sure to open both ends of the box. The charger is on one end with the owners manual, the battery is on the other end.

The LBXR36 has a 1.5 amp hour rating. The LBXR2036 has a 2.0 amp hour rating. The higher amp hour rating provides 30% more run time in the 40V tools. The difference in the chargers is the charge time. The LCS36 charges the batteries in 2 hours. The LCS436 charges the batteries in 6 hours." I ordered the LST136W as well as the LCC140. Contrary to their descriptions, BOTH ship with the larger capacity LBXR2036 battery. The LLC140 ships with the slow charger LCS436, the LST136W with the LCS36 fast charger. So in return for a sweeper (for a few dollars extra), you'll give up a faster charger by choosing the LCC140 package."

Answer:	Sounds like there is something not right. I have done a 20'x60' area twice and still on 1st spool. Either there is a defect or line isn't set correctly.

Answer:	No it is not. But because it is relatively lightweight, it pushes much easier than a heavier gas-powered mower.

Answer:	Haven't measured, but my son said it is best to empty the bag two or three times while cutting so it doesn't make the mower work hard.

Answer:	These are the same models and do not differ.

Answer:	I have both and I like the 2040 much better. It feels more solid. The 2043C does not have the rubber grip on top of the handle which makes it harder to grab, and the wheels look cheap and not very durable.
