4 best geo magnets

Geo magnets, also known as geomagnetic magnets or geomagnetic field detectors, are devices used to measure the Earth's magnetic field. They have applications in various fields, including outdoor heating and cooling systems for patio areas. Here's what you should know about geo magnets in the context of patio heaters and outdoor heating and cooling:

  1. Principle of Operation: Geo magnets work based on the principle that the Earth's magnetic field exerts a force on a magnet's magnetic pole. These devices typically consist of a magnetized needle or a magnetic sensor that aligns itself with the Earth's magnetic field lines.

  2. Navigation: Historically, geomagnetic compasses, which utilize the Earth's magnetic field, have been used for navigation purposes. They help determine direction by aligning with the magnetic North Pole.

  3. Patio Heaters: In the context of patio heaters and outdoor heating and cooling, geo magnets are not directly related. Patio heaters typically use gas or electric heating elements to provide warmth in outdoor spaces. Geo magnets are more commonly associated with navigation and geophysical studies.

  4. Geophysical Studies: Geo magnets play a crucial role in geophysical research. Scientists use them to measure the Earth's magnetic field for various purposes, including studying the Earth's core and mantle, mapping geological features, and tracking changes in the magnetic field over time.

  5. Magnetic Declination: Geo magnets are also used to measure magnetic declination, which is the angle between true north (geographic north) and magnetic north (the direction a compass points). Understanding magnetic declination is important for accurate navigation and map reading.

  6. Magnetic Anomalies: Geo magnets can detect magnetic anomalies in the Earth's crust. These anomalies can indicate the presence of underground minerals, geological formations, or even archaeological sites.

  7. Research and Education: Geo magnets are used in educational settings to teach students about Earth's magnetic field and its applications in various scientific disciplines.

In summary, geo magnets are primarily used for scientific and navigational purposes, and they are not directly related to patio heaters or outdoor heating and cooling systems.Instead, patio heaters rely on heating elements, such as gas burners or electric heating elements, to provide warmth in outdoor spaces.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with a warranty
Answer: Yes, if you buy this in the US and or Canada it is designed to be plugged into a 110v outlet. But please be sure the seller is selling you 110 v as they may be available online in both. Thank you
Question: How many hours will one full tank run with this unit on medium setting
Answer: It only makes that noise when you start the heater, after 10 minutes it will became silent as long as it stays on. I have 5 those heaters for 4 years - never had any problems.
Question: can this be used on a covered porch or screen porch
Answer: When I got my 2nd I left it on max the whole day. Should help speed up the 'burnoff'. Perhaps do this overnight. I do not recall it lasting more than 2 days. I have had 5 in past 20yrs.First one had a smell for a week, but was lightly used. PS: Always use a proper appliance cord. Ex if you need to extend the space around heater. I ran one under sofa as to allow proper space. A roommate used an construction type extension & thank god I came home when I did. There was smoke/sparks from the cord. Both cords were fused together, the things people do!
Question: I admire everyone who has been able to get this thing started. The unit doesn't allow you to push in the knob once it hits Hi. Help please
Answer: I use these in the center of the barn, but not in the actual stalls with my horses and alpacas. I know the wattage settings because I use a diesel generator as backup for power outages in Winter. The minimal setting is 700 watts, and this is what we use most of the time. It uses 1500 watts at the highest or at a higher setting. We are quite pleased.
