INSTALLATTON

NATURAL GAS OR LIQUID PROPANE

1.Make sure gas is shut off

2.Connect the gas hose with gas connector to gas supply

3.Connect the other end of the hose to the Straight Quarter-Turn Shut-Off Valve

4.Attach the other side of the Straight Quarter-Turn Shut-Off Valve to the second gas hose

5.Connect the other end of the second gas hose to the burner

6. If using liquid propane, you need an LP Air Mixer to connect to the burner.(Air mixer is ONLY for LP)

7. Install the Spark Ignition to generate sparks.

LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS

1. STOP! Read the Gas Cylinder, Important Information and Enclosures sections before attempting to light this appliance.

2.BEFORE LIGHTING: Smell all around the appliance area fbr gas. Be sure to smell next to the floor of tlie firepit because some gas is heavier than air and will settle in the base of the firepit.

3.Light a match and place it just to tlie top and outside area of the Top Burner Plate.

4.Slowly turn the manual gas valve to the "OPEN" position. The firepit burner should ignite between 0 to 3 seconds.

Answer:	Here is a link to what I created using this product. This was a new build and I had the contractor run the gas line out to the location to where I chose for the waterfall/fire pit. Hooking up the parts in this kit was simple. The contractor installed an on/off valve on the gas line which made it simple. Answer:	to Operate a remote control would need gas valve and power supply
Question:	How do you know what size to order
Answer:	I measured my current burner. I you don't have a current burner I would suggest to measure the length and the width and ask a professional at a home store what size you will need or just google the question.
Question:	Is this ventless or does it require a vent
Answer:	I think the requirement for the vent depends on your local regulations, not necessarily on the type of H-Burner. For example, as far as I know, in California all gas fireplaces need to be vented. However, this burner is of a good size and produces a strong flame, I would think it would be best to have it installed in a vented fireplace, regardless.
Question:	Do you need a pan underneath for a fireplace installation? And is the air mixer all I need for propane fireplace
Answer:	I can't address the propane question as my install was natural gas. A pan is absolutely not necessary. Some may chose to use a fan depending on the configuration or media you choose to display your flame. I did not use a pan...I laid the glass directly over the bar and bottom of the fireplace.

Question:	What’s the difference between regular and jet ring
Answer:	Jet has orfice while regular is drilled holes. Jet better.
Question:	For the Jet Burner ring, since the flame is so high, is it unsafe to use in windy conditions
Answer:	I don't turn mine up very high. Usually keep it only about 12 to 14 inches. Be smart where you place your pit. The wind does not cause problems for me
Question:	If using natural gas what type of regulator do i need
Answer:	Dont need if gas pressure is not high, if it is then a gas regulator made for nat gas to go to 3.5 inches of water column.
Question:	ON 12" How high is the flame
Answer:	I've got my 18" Burner Ring covered with lava rock and a few ceramic logs. Using a 20# propane tank with a 10# adjustable regulator, I can set the flame to be anywhere from 6" to 36". However, the the higher the flame the faster your going to run out of propane. I've found that with the flame set at about 12", we get adequate heat and we can spend about 6-8 evenings (1-2 hours) on the back porch before i have to refill the bottle.

Question:	Can you cook like hotdogs etc on this or is food grease if it drops onto the rocks is that bad
Answer:	If you are set up for a higher gas pressure, you probably can. Cooking anything over it will lead to it looking like the inside of a grill. Not necessarily bad, but maybe not pretty after a while.
Question:	Is there a way to drive more gas/flame? I have it set up as directed on a standard sized propane tank, but only getting candle-sized flame
Answer:	Pressure regulator needs to be adjustable from 0-30psi and you will be able to get a flame way bigger then what is needed
Question:	Does this fire pit require the installation of an LP air mixer
Answer:	Yes, found one on Amazon for $18.
Question:	What L.P. fitting do i use to connect to the bottom fitting on the pan? It's tapered, and i can't find a connector for it
Answer:	The fitting is a hose barb. You use a gas rated hose and hose clamp.

Answer:	It is the brass unit on the end of the hose with the holes on one end. Yes it is.

Answer:	If you are leaking from the mixer there is too much resistance.

Our stainless steel Pan-Ring burner kits come complete with everything you need to start your Natural Gas (NG) outdoor fire pit project.

We start with 304 stainless steel so your burner will remain trouble free in the outdoors. The burner tubes are inserted into the adjoining tube then welded for unrestricted gas flow. All of our flame holes are precession drilled not punched so there are no tabs pushed inside restricting gas flow. By using our stainless steel Burner Pan-Rings with our stainless steel burner rings mounted on a stainless steel pan you have a corrosive resistant protective solid flat surface to work with. Best of all you can pour our fire glass crystals over the top of the pan-ring and it will not sift its way down into your lava rock.

Our connection kit has been assembled using matching components to assure the best performance i.e. High Capacity Non-Whistle flex line and high-flow keyed main shut off ball valve. All this adds up to exactly what you are looking for; the highest possible flames.

Please note, your incoming gas line size needs to be matched to the size of your burner. On average you will need a ? inch line for 18, 22, 24, 28, 30 inch pan-rings. The 36, 40 inch pans will most likely require a ? inch gas line. These are general guidelines and not meant to be used as suggested gas line sizes; you will need to consult your installer for the exact size of line needed. We always recommend that all gas products be installed and serviced by professionals that have been certified by the NFI or WETT. The installer must conform to any and all State and/or local codes. *The 24, 30 and 40 inch pans utilize a Aluminum donut to obtain their custom sizes.

Question:	will this work on a 100# propane tank
Answer:	Size of tank does not matter, its all about the pressure. As long as the 100# tank has same pressure as a 5gal propane tank your good to go.
Question:	Can I use a propane tank with the 36" one
Answer:	Propane is stored in tanks, large and small. If you are referring to a 20 lb portable tank, we do not offer a 20 lb LP kit for our 36" pan/ring. There is just not enough gas volume/pressure to create a successful fire display. We do offer a 20 lb LP kit for our 18", 24" and 30" pan/ring burners.
