Answer:	It will not damage the siding as long as water won't. Rinse, wash then rinse again. It is safe for the plants and grass too. What you might be cleaning off might not be safe for plants but the cleaner is.
Question:	A winters worth of gas fireplace exhaust is on exterior bricks that are painted white. Will it work without stripping or damaging the painted bricks
Answer:	I think there is some potential for the product to eventually dissolve some paint, but in general it's low-impact, nothing like a petroleum-based product. Also the soot came off relatively quickly and easily (from natural stone) and you wipe off all residue with plain water. It would take much longer for it to affect paint, I believe, especially if it is good quality exterior paint that has thoroughly dried. You could always try it on a small section first. I think you can return it if it doesn't work for you.

HOW TO SAVE ON THE COST OF YOUR FIRE GLASS

Lava Rock is inexpensive when compared to fire glass. You could use a one inch deep lava rock layer to initially cover your burner pan. This will reduce the glass depth needed by one inch. This can be applied to any fire pit or fireplace, no matter what size and make a considerable saving over the cost of using fire glass throughout.

Using lava rock as a base material does have a single draw back. It will cause some soot build up on your fire glass. So periodically you may need to remove your fire glass and rinse off the soot. Be sure to allow the glass to completely dry before placing it back over the lava rock.

Answer:	Yes you can. Many people use their existing lava rock as a base under the fire glass to reduce the amount of fire glass they need. You should plan for 1" to 2" depth of fire glass to properly cover your lava rocks where they are no longer visible.

Answer:	For a 19” round fire pit you need about 1.5 jars for each inch of depth you desire. for example if you want a 2” depth you’ll need 3 jars.
