Circulate total pond water volume every 2 hours.

Example: 2,000 GPH pump for a 3000-gallon pond with 2’ waterfall.

Question:	I have a 4200gph pump with 2 discharge lines. I was thinking about using 2 of these spillways for a pondless waterfall. Will I run into problems
Answer:	I returned the unit because didn’t need, seemed to be overkill. I suspect you could cut a hole on the back side - I placed my pump inside one of the res-cubes. Pump gas been running non-stop for a year

Answer:	I ordered a GOLDENROD 496-3/4 WATER-BLOCK FILTER (56591) Bowl Fuel Tank Filter with 3/4" NPT Top Cap to use with mine, along with an Apache 99000233 3/4" Fuel Swivel. I went down to the local hardware store and got a 6-inch, 3/4" galvanized threaded steel pipe. I used the 6-inch pipe to connect the fuel filter to the elbow fitting on top of the pump, then used the swivel to connect the hose to the fuel filter. So far, it's been working well.

Answer:	It is punched out on the label which is on the body of the pump. The letter represents the year it was manufactured. the number represents the month. I only have the codes up to 2012 but you can figure it out. K is 2011 L is 2012 and so on. Keep going up the alphabet.
Question:	Will the pro 3000 be able to pump the water up to the waterfall which is about 6 feet higher and about 60' away
Answer:	It is important to understand that all pumps have an operating point where the best energy efficiency and the best life expectancy will be achieved, also known as the BEP (Best Efficiency Point). First, determine the flow requirements you wish to achieve. As a general rule of thumb you can use 1,500 gallons per hour per foot of spillway width for residential waterfalls. The flow rate can vary depending on the size and shape of the rocks used in the waterfall. Flat rocks may require less flow as the water sheets over the surface and round boulders will require more flow as the water flows between the joints of the stacked stones. Second, determine the total head, in feet, for the project. This is a combination of vertical lift from the surface of the pond plus the friction losses in the pipe (general rule of thumb: add 1 foot of friction head loss for every 10 feet of pipe length. For example: a 50 foot long run of pipe will have an estimated 5 feet of friction loss). It is also important to select the proper pipe diameter for the flow rate of your pump. Using too small of a pipe will add additional friction-loss. Think of it as trying to drink a milkshake through a cocktail straw. Here’s an example using what we’ve learned. My pump will push 20 feet horizontally, and will push 5 feet upward vertically using a 2 inch pipe. My total head pressure is approximately 7 feet. I know I need 3,000 gallons per hour to have proper filtration because I have a 2 foot wide waterfall, so I need a pump that is rated for 3,000 gallons per hour at 7 feet of head pressure. Answer:	I am rather certain it is 1". I am assuming you are referring to the thread size. Again I believe with good comfidence it is 1: NPT. Although an assortment of barbed nipples comes with the pump. I used 1" corrugated hose to service my old fashioned cast iron hand pump at the top of my spillway barrel. The pump supplies so much water that I had to dial it down to the minimum setting!

Answer:	I'm not sure that I fully understand you question and so to answer I'll tell you what I've done. The pump itself is approximately 9.5" high. The top part being the outlet pipe. I've set the pump on the bottom of the pond which is 22" deep. I have attached to the outlet pipe a hose that leads the water up to my waterfall which stands about 5' above the outlet pipe. My pond holds approximately 750 gals and the pressure from the pump is more than adequate. Hope that helps.
