Answer:	yes it will lower water level about 2inches an hour

Answer:	There is no float or automatic activation of the pump. To turn it on, put it in the water to be drained, and then plug it into an outlet.

Answer:	Just submerse,the little giant in water, plug it in and watch the water come out of the hose. When there is little water remaining, it will make noise and stop pumping.
Question:	The pump does not place flat on the pool cover. To what minimum depth of water does the pump still work
Answer:	As long as the intake basket is submerged the pump works fine. As soon as the water only covers half the basket the pump still pumps water out of the pool cover but it also sucks air. At this point I usually unplug the pump. My pump right now is submerged under ice because I forgot to remove it before the freeze, but I am confident that come Spring and the ice thaws I can just plug in my pump and it start pumping again. It is a great little pump.

Question:	Can you shut pump off and will it still drain water
Answer:	The only way to shut the pump off is to unplug it. When unplugged it will not drain water off the pool cover. Very reliable and durable pump. The previous one I owned lasted 16 years and it actually still works but the screen broke and it wasn't worth replacing the screen on a 16 year old pump. I even left the pump in frozen water still plugged in during the winter (several times) and it still just works. Amazing, that's why I purchased the same one to replace.

Answer:	All I can tell you about this pump is the use that I have had for it. I use it to drain excess water from my in-ground pool during the off-season. I place it on the top of the pool stairs when closing for the winter. The pump goes on automatically when the water reaches a certain level. The pump I recently purchased is an exact replacement for the one I originally owned, and that one lasted 11 years. That's about all I can tell you.

Answer:	Hello- this pump should work fine as long as your pipe runs and elevation changes are minimal , please be sure it is completely submerged.

Answer:	No a special hose one inch and 1/4 , the seller have this hose . My email is [email protected] send me one , and i will take a photo of the hose you need. If you use only one garden hose the pump is forse to work harder. I died something long time ago used a pvc pipe 1 1/4 and a T with two connection for 2 water hose and work very good for me , also i can take a photo of what I did.
