12 best weather clock
A weather clock is a type of weather instrument that combines both timekeeping and weather information display. It's often used as outdoor decor and is commonly found in gardens or patios. Here's what you should know about weather clocks:
Design and Functionality: Weather clocks typically feature a traditional clock face with hour and minute hands, just like a standard clock. However, they also incorporate weather instruments to provide additional information about the current weather conditions.
Weather Instruments: The weather instruments integrated into a weather clock often include a thermometer and a hygrometer. These instruments measure temperature and humidity, respectively, providing valuable information about the local climate.
Temperature Display: The thermometer on a weather clock displays the current temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. This allows individuals to check the temperature conveniently when they're outdoors.
Humidity Indicator: The hygrometer measures humidity levels and typically provides a percentage reading. This can be useful for assessing comfort levels or determining if it's a particularly dry or humid day.
Weather Icons: Some weather clocks also feature graphical representations of weather conditions, such as sun icons for clear skies or cloud icons for overcast conditions. These icons give a quick visual indication of the weather.
Durability: Weather clocks are designed to withstand outdoor conditions, so they are often constructed from weather-resistant materials like metal, plastic, or wood. This durability ensures they can endure exposure to rain, wind, and sunlight.
Power Source: Weather clocks are typically powered by batteries, making them easy to install and maintain. Some models may also offer solar-powered options to reduce the need for battery replacements.
Decorative Appeal: Weather clocks are often chosen for their aesthetic appeal. They can add a touch of style to outdoor spaces like gardens, patios, or porches while also providing practical information.
Placement: To ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings, it's essential to place a weather clock in a location with adequate ventilation and protection from direct sunlight or rain.
Maintenance: Regular cleaning and battery replacement (if required) are necessary to keep a weather clock in good working condition. Periodic calibration may also be needed to maintain accuracy.
Weather clocks serve both functional and decorative purposes, allowing individuals to keep track of time while staying informed about the local weather conditions in their outdoor living spaces. They are a useful addition to gardens and patios, providing both practical utility and visual charm.

User questions & answers
Question: | Why doesn’t outside temp register? Inside temp is working I also put in brand new batteries |
Answer: | Check that your batteries are charged to 1.5. If you don't have a way (voltage meter) to check, try brand new batteries that are new off the store shelf. For the sync-up process, the batteries must be 1.5 or better. It's the #1 problem we see. |
Question: | Hello. . . i love this weather station but the aa batteries in my remote die very quickly. what batteries work bet for you |
Answer: | All outdoor sensors should use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. Alkalines will freeze, rechargables start at a max of 1.4 v and drop to 1.2 v fairly quickly and do not like extreme cold. They do not work in Iowa winter. All my external sensors use AA Ultimate Lithiums and last the entire winter, even at -15 below zero F. I change them out every Fall. |
Question: | Looking to mount this unit flat on a wall. Wtith power cord attached, would this unit sit flush against the wall |
Answer: | Yes, it can be wall mounted and sit flush against the wall even with the cord attached. |
Question: | Is it necessary to buy the la crosse technology tx141th-bv2 wireless outdoor thermo-hygrometer $19.95 to make the wireless forecast station wireless |
Answer: | If I may say, you might want to reconsider a product from LaCrosse. I have had an s85814 weather station for about 3 years and it currently serves as the night light in my bedroom. It never worked and LaCrosse wasn't much help. The temperature outside was always off by close to 20 degrees. Don't do it, you'll regret it! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can the clock itself be mounted outdoors (patio, deck etc |
Answer: | So long as it is not exposed to rain. Direct sunlight could affect any electronics. And you would have the 'outdoor ' sensor which you could use indoors if you wanted to. Depending upon your climate extremes of heat or cold eventually affect all electronics. Should work with those caveats. |
Question: | Does clock include outdoor seperate sensor |
Answer: | yes it does include outdoor sensor |
Question: | Does it light up in a dark room |
Answer: | This unit has big bold text and numbers, it does not light up at night. very legible in daytime. |
Question: | does it make noise for each second as one person commented? maybe that is what the beep on/off setting is for |
Answer: | Mine doesn't but I'm almost positive I saw the option to have the beep on or off. After all, there's an alarm built in so I would think as long as they have a beep alarm, might as well make it an option for seconds as well. |

Why there are differency between my mobile phone?
Weather forecast apps report the weather based on data from weather stations located miles away from current locations, which almost inevitably leads to discrepancies in temperature and humidity . However, a home wireless thermometer in your house would gather more accurate data and provide a more accurate result compared to a weather station that’s far away from where you are.
Why Buy a Weather Station?
It’s true that the weather controls a large part of our lives or day to day activities.
While there are many sources of weather forecast reports out there— e.g., your favorite channel, smartphone weather app, county weatherman, etc. — none of them can beat a personal weather station for home.
With a home based weather station, you’ll be getting real-time weather reports that will let you successfully plan for each and every activity.
Let's see the advantages of Wittime 2081 weather station:
Fit Everywhere

User questions & answers
Question: | does it make a difference if you put the batteries in the clock before the outside unit |
Answer: | I couldn’t get that part working on mine |
Question: | What are the dimensions of the clock |
Answer: | HI, Thank you for reaching out. The dimensions are 8.75" across x 7.9" tall x .5" wide. Thanks, The Clock Shop |
Question: | Our clock suddenly stopped showing correct outside temperature. Does anyone know how I can fix it |
Answer: | I have the same clock with the same problem. The sensor worked for a couple of weeks and then just stopped. Company has removed the ability to leave a message and does not answer this number. I have not been able to contact them or even find an address, email or physical, to contact them in writing. I contacted Sharp, because their name is on it, and they really don't care or have anything useful to offer other than the same phone number that hasn't been working since at least March 2020 when I first started trying to contact them. Don't waste time or money on the absolute garbage clock from Sharp, Model SPC1107. It's not really a Sharp product , and there's no way to ever get any help WHEN (not if) it fails. The only fix for this junk clock is to simply not own one. |
Question: | Does the time illuminate at night |
Answer: | Hi, Thank you for reaching out. The Sharp Model SPC1107, is not backlight and does not illuminate at night. Thanks, The Clock Shop |

Question: | Is the clock etc. backlit for reading time etc at night |
Answer: | Whatever, the one I have is very dim and I can only view it by holding it. The thing says it has backlight, the manual says it, but it's not a feature. It also has a button "Signal" on the back that is not explained anywhere. It seems to work well enough, but it's impossible to read the screen in most places I have put it or hung it up. |
Question: | How "weather resistant" is the sensor |
Answer: | The manual suggests that the sensor can be out in the weather, as long as it isn't in the pouring rain. AcuRite sells a protective unit, here on Amazon, for a reasonable price to protect the sensor from full sun and rain and snow. Use Lithium batteries if you have it out in weather colder than 40 degrees (F). Right now it's 44 degrees on my patio in southern California. |
Question: | Is the back flat so I can hang this on a wall |
Answer: | Yes, the back is flat and it has a recessed hole in the back so it can be hung on a nail or screw. Once hung, it sits perfectly flat against the wall. |
