Answer:	I found that putting it on the back of my iMac made the mouse skip a lot. I guess the metal frame of the computer -- or maybe the USB ports -- were interfering. I put it onto a spare USB port on my keyboard and now it works perfectly.

Answer:	I just got this mouse. I work in university and public libraries on a daily basis. You ask a great question, F. Campillo. I can aswer with certainty that this mouse does click, and if you work in those environments, you will not want this mouse. I'm leaving mine at home and going back to the expensive but effective Apple Bluetooth white, buttonless mouse. The Amazon mouse is just loud enough to be a problem to others in a quiet room (especially those sitting next to you or across from you).

Answer:	Info for the mouse is not confusing or conflicting. It is not Bluetooth, but requires the USB receiver. It works with any device with Windows or Mac OS 10; and which have a USB port. So the specs on the MacBook Air need to be checked carefully before buying - some have USB port, some don't. Answer:	I don't know how to calibrate them, but I have several of different types and ages and they all seem to agree over a wide range of temperature and humidity.

Answer:	For now, one year. We are making changes to the server where it will store the daily high, low and average forever but 4 minute data for 30 days. However, you can simply download the data or use our API to automate this process if you are a programmer, or use a third party app to manage that for you.

Answer:	No, there is no barometer. The wind reading is not instantaneous and it seems to be an average over a short period of time so gusts are not the right speed. If you use the app you will see that everything is averaged out over time periods which is to save storage and data transmission rates. All these deficiencies are acceptable for home use but not for a "true" weather station which are easily 10 times or more the cost.
Question:	Can it calculate wind chill
Answer:	I guess you could call it wind chill, there is a “feels like” number.
Question:	What kind of batteries do the sensors use? How long do they last in freezing temperatures
Answer:	Per the manual, Good fresh batteries are important for best performance in your sensors and as backup in your station. Batteries with an expiration date of 2020, were manufactured in 2010. We recommend batteries with an expiration date no more than 6 years in advance of the current year for best performance. A minimum voltage of 1.48 v per battery is required for best performance. Lithium batteries may be used in outdoor sensors. Alkaline batteries for the station. There is no listing of life of battery in cold or freezing temperatures. It would depend on the condition of the battery.
Question:	Do you have to hook this up to a "smart"phone thing/ap in order to get the correct wind speed or will it work on it's own? own
Answer:	No smart phone involved. The wind speed gizmo outside talks from the outside sensor to the base inside.

Answer:	It connect Wifi to both platforms. Once you sync the device with your phone it auto loads data Wifi or 4G. The history on app for phone is for the 24hrs, but weather underground it logs everyday. Its probably best to get your account set up on Weather Underground and get your weather station ID then sync with your station and it will transmit to WU. I have been really happy with the station and software is easy to set up.
Question:	Rain gauge - display 24hr total? Melt contained snow? Self emptying
Answer:	Yes Rainfall displays rain level and rainfall data in 24 hours, one week, one month, one year, total rain and rainfall event. It is self emptying. it does not have a heater to melt snow.
Question:	I live in a metal building (siding and roof metal), will i have issues with transmission between devices? Cell service is definitely affected inside
Answer:	My transmitter is mounted outside on a patio on top of 8 ft long two inch pipe. It is approximately 60-80 feet away from receiver unit inside of the living room. There are no windows on that side of the house and no direct line of sight. House has aluminum siding and I have no issues with receiving the signal from the transmitter. Hopefully that helps you out.

Answer:	I believe the manufacturer states 100m or approximately 300ft.My indoor sensor works great and my distance between my two buildings is 75-100 ft.I would guess that the outdoor sensor would have similar results
Question:	How accurate are the readings
Answer:	Looking at some of the previous responses, there seems to be a confusion between precision and accuracy. According to Acurite (the manufacturer), it is accurate to +/- 2F. The precision depends on the display, which is separate from this sensor. Most (if not all) Acurite displays only show whole numbers for temperature (e.g. 32F vs 32.6F). Further looking shows that the accuracy varies by temperature (this is normal for most measurements, even the most accurate ones). For example, from -40F to 32F, it is only accurate to +/- 4F, but from 68F to 75F, it is accurate to +/- 1F. Finally, some examples illustrating difference between accuracy and precision. A device that reads in tenths of a degree but has an accuracy of 4F might read 58.6F and seem very accurate to another device showing 55F. But if the latter is accurate to 1F, it is far more accurate. For example, if the temperature was actually 55.8F, the latter is within it's 1F tolerance and the former is also within its 4F tolerance, but the 55F of the latter is obviously more accurate. Question:	Can i use 2 separate display consoles with the ambient weather ws-2902? i'd like to see readings in 2 different areas of the house
Answer:	I have two display consoles and it works great. One upstairs and one on ground floor. I can see both on-line and on phone via app. I set alerts in case HVAC issues, which is great benefit as well. I ordered WS-2902A-CONSOLE-KIT which is what you need.
Question:	Can it only be line of sight
Answer:	Wireless devices transmit a radio frequency (RF) signal, generally in the 400 – 900 MHz range. The manufacturer will rate the maximum transmission distance as line of sight. However, the signal will transmit through walls and other obstructions. The following is a table of reception loss vs. the transmission medium. Each “wall” or obstruction decreases the transmission range by the factor shown below. Medium RF Signal Strength Reduction Glass (untreated) 5-15% Plastics 10-15% Wood 10-40% Brick 10-40% Concrete 40-80% Metal 90-100% RF will not transmit through metal barriers. If you have aluminum siding or a metal roof, it is unlikely the RF signal will transmit through this barrier. RF will not transmit through earth. For example, if the receiver is placed in the basement, and the earth or ground is obstructing the line of sight transmission, it will not receive the signal. Interference can be an issue. In general, wireless internet, phones, security systems and other low power devices have little interference effect. Ham Radio and other high power applications may lose data when transmitting. Helpful Hint: Wireless phones transmit at similar frequencies and power levels as wireless weather devices. If you have a wireless phone (not a cell phone), place the receiver where you would place the weather station receiver and attempt to use the phone where you would place the transmitter. If you can not use the wireless phone, it is unlikely the weather station will work either.
Question:	Is the outdoor sensor "hi quality"? I have had 2 Acurite outdoor sensors electronics fail in a 1 Yr. I am a full time Rv'r / camp in any weather
Answer:	My Accuwrong failed in the 13th month and support from Accurite was horrible at best. I had an Amibeint for over 10 years but the ws 2902 is not working, they sent me 3 replacement units all with the same issue, NOT TRANSMITTING.
Question:	What differentiates this from higher priced options like the ws-1002-wifi? Software connectivity doesn't matter to me. Are the sensors lower quality
Answer:	No, they are of equal quality. The console on the WS-1002-WiFi is much nicer with multiple screens and TFT display. This is LCD with color film. The WS-2902 is a very capable unit.

Question:	how long do the batteries last on the rain gauge
Answer:	The batteries in the main outdoor sensor unit (rain and wind gauges) lasted about a year for me (3 AAA). The battery in the remote temperature sensor lasts longer -- I haven't had to replace it yet. There are batteries in the main indoor display used as backup, but they just maintain connectivity to the sensor if the power goes off so you don't have to do pairing again after power glitches. The display itself normally runs on a 5v power adapter.
Question:	What's the truth? what's in the box? does base station run on aa batteries? does it have any remotes? what batteries do they use
Answer:	The base station runs off of 5 volt power with an included power supply. The base station uses AA batteries as a backup, but the display goes dark without the 5 volt power applied. The package includes the two remotes shown in the picture and they use AA batteries.
Question:	Is it Atomic, and does it have an adaptor plug, Please. Thanks
Answer:	Time and date are updated from the National Institute of Standards and Technology servers via your wi-fi connection. Without a wi-fi connection, you must set time and date manually. The unit comes with a 5V power supply. Battery is only used for backup and will not power the display and wi-fi.
Question:	Could someone post a link with instruction how to link this unit to a Weather Undeground account
Answer:	I tried many times and failed. I contacted La Crosse and they told me that the C83100 is not compatible with Weather Underground. So, I guess it is not possible to join the network. Here is the response: "The C83100 is not compatible with weather underground. I apologizes for the inconvenience."
