Answer:	No, it only measures the temperature inside where the unit is placed.

Answer:	It's about 2.5" high, 4.25" wide, and 1.5" thick. It's not a accurate as a Kestrel, but it doesn't require batteries, either. It gives a pretty good approximation of conditions. Close enough to get by.
Question:	How is this mounted? Is it permanent
Answer:	This is mounted with adhesive velcro strips. Simply adhere the velcro to your dashboard and then attach the unit. It comes with an extra set of velcro strips for multiple vehicles. The adhesive is not permanent.

Answer:	it may withstand a light rain or drizzle, but if immersed in water or in a downpour, i doubt it will seal out the water. there is no rubber sealing around the battery compartment either, in fact my battery compartment lid will not even stay on, so the battery compartment remains exposed. fortunately, i do not use the battery, since i do not need a clock. if you don't need a clock, then the compass and thermometer may be waterproof/water resistant.
