Answer:	We decided to keep ours close to the outdoor plug even though it would have looked better further away in the garden. I guess we could have run an underground electrical cord, but we weren't sure how to do that. May be best to get an electrician if you want to do that.

Answer:	I think it been over year since I go it all I remember is throwing it in the trash.. I had it on my deck maybe 10 feet by 10 feet and put it on the railing and could not see what the temp was...

Answer:	I don't know what the red liquid is made of. It is not mercury. Typically, this type of learning thermometer use a type of alcohol tinted with red dye but I cannot confirm that is what's in this thermometer.

Answer:	I just bought this not too long ago. The thermometer itself is about 12 inches long, and the plastic casing adds another three inches. It's definitely bigger than it looks in the picture.

Question:	Can resin fountains hold up during extreme cold winter weather conditions
Answer:	I wouldn't risk it. UNLESS the water is continually heated. We will not be keeping ours outside in the winter mainly because there's no reason we should expose it to harsh temperatures , ice and snow. Maybe if you cover it, that could help. The first month we had ours the paint started to chip in places and that was during this summer with no extreme conditions.

Question:	How much water do you put in fountain
Answer:	It may not be leaking directly from the bottom, but water following the mirage of hanging wires for pump and LED lights. I had to bundle LED wiring together with ties and secure up above access panel using a tie through two drilled holes. Make sure pump wiring has a loop down into water and then out. Have not had anymore leakage issues.
Question:	how do you attach the support beam
Answer:	About 3 1/2 feet, but we built a paver foundation with pavers that match the color of the fountain, that lifts it 1 foot... it looks nice with the paver foundation

Answer:	I have this in my office waiting room and yes, it does splash. We actually placed a protective covering under all the plants and the waterfall. Without that the carpet would get wet. The more water the more splash. We use it for white noise which it provides but I would prefer something more soothing and less powerful.

Answer:	Mine splashed water on my stone floor in my sunroom. I went to Lowe's and bought a plastic tray that a washing machine fits in and put the fountain on that in the corner. No problem since.

Answer:	If the fountain is outside, the wind will tend to blow some water out of the fountain...Ive notice on a calm day I don’t have to add water, but if the winds blowing, I do, more wind, more water...you will always need to add water to some degree, whether form splash over, or just evaporation...it’s not a closed system...

Answer:	I plug the fountain pump into an outdoor GFI so the fountain is on all the time. I plug the lights into a timer so the lights come on and go off at the times I set the timer to. I've had this fountain 3 plus years and it is of good quality. I use only distilled water and give it a good cleaning once a year. I hope this is helpful.

Answer:	There is a little bit of a ridge, but not much (less than 1/4"). It's not completely flat but it really depends on how deep of a recess you need. I bought this for my husband and he loves it and it was a simple install.

Answer:	Yes, set it up on something. I have put mine (I have 2) on upside down large pots (1/2 whiskey barrel type). It's up off the ground so I'm not stooping to refill and they sit above/at the level of the plants.

Answer:	I'm not sure if this helps, but we didn't order anything, but the fountain and it works fine. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Answer:	The sound is determined how you place your rocks. The less the water makes contact with the rocks, the more sound. I used my own additional rocks to quell or increase the sound of water.

Answer:	I don't believe so. We keep ours on the deck outside of the great room. Only thing we don't like - it is very quiet. We have another small fountain on our front porch and it makes a pleasant splashing sound as the water trickles down. My wife out small pebbles in the fountain that you are considering, and that helped create a little bit of sound.

Answer:	I try to adjust the little screws on the side of the beaks and that helps. Also make sure that the pump is clean and working properly.

Answer:	I have had this outside for two years but on a covered porch. It has not rusted at all and works very well. You only have to make sure the water level does not go down because if it dries out the pump will burn out. It is a very amusing item for a garden.

Answer:	I would check with the seller (they should send you another one) or manufacturer but is there room for you to clip off the crimped part so the water flows through.
Question:	the tube coneected to the base of the tub appears to be crimped and no water is coming through, but motor is running - what can be done
Answer:	you could put the tube in hot water to soften it and take out the crimp, or buy some plastic tubing of the same diameter and replace it. I would try the hot water first.
Question:	do you have to use distilled water

Question:	I gather there isn't a battery storage capability.. I guess it only works when the sun is up. Right
Answer:	you are correct...no battery storage capability. I am able to observe my fountain most frequently in the afternoon, so I cover the solar panel so the water doesn't evaporate and leave the motor humming without water. Then when I go outside to sit, I uncover the panel. If the sun is on it, the fountain starts immediately. Using mine for the second year...I love to listen to the sound.
