I recently moved and this mat has been rained on many times now and it has been pretty persistently soggy. Answer:	I'm really sorry but I do not know the answer to that question because it has never been wet and I would not think of intentionally getting it wet. The mat is very dense, made from coconuts. My suggestion is to check with the manufacturer, Kempf and sons. If you google Coir Doormats you should be able to access their website and phone #. I love this mat, the color is a soft tan and it is very sturdy. Hope it works out for you.

Answer:	I see no reason you cannot hose it down with soap and water. I would not try to scrub on it which would only accelerate the "decomposition" of the mat. Our mats do not get too dirty, tend to darken with age (6-12 months), and need to be replaced about every 2 years. I move the front and side mats back to the patio when replaced with new mats. Eventually the mats will begin to break up and need to be disposed of... or composted.

Answer:	No it does not have a rubber back. I got 2. One is for our front door and the other one the cats use. They love it. It has the same facing on both sides. Having said that I think your rabbit will find that it will give him all the traction he needs. It is not smooth and there is a lot of texture to the finish....

I have noticed, however, that the doormat can be slow to dry (due to its thickness and density), and therefore might harbor some mold or odor if used in a damp shower room environment. I love this doormat otherwise, but probably wouldn't use it as a shower rug.

Answer:	I live in a warm climate so I can't respond to cold weather questions. I can tell you that it holds up well to pouring rain, thunder and wind. While everything else in the area is wet after rain, the mat feels dry. The wind doesn't move it at all. I hope this is some help.
Question:	how is this rug on bare feet
Answer:	It is not uncomfortable on bare feet. I have it outside my back door and step on it without my shoes all of the time. It is fine.

Answer:	The 22x36 that I saw was a rectangle. They offer the half-moon as well.
Question:	How does it hold up to rain, and snow? Our front porch is covered but still needs to hold up
Answer:	It holds up great in rain. It is at an uncovered entrance from our pool deck. I don't know about snow as we live in Florida.
