Question:	Can you store this outdoors? During a NY winter especially
Answer:	I live in southern New York and I store Wagner's Greatest Variety Blend in a metal garbage can with secure lid outdoors all winter long, and the seed is just fine. I tried the heavy duty plastic/rubber (?) garbage container but the raccoons and other critters eventually managed to chew through it.
Question:	Went to purchase again I paid $7.98, why is the price at $17.98 now for 10 pound bag
Answer:	I paid $6.84 for this, last week. Its close to $11 this week.
Question:	I have the concern regard the pink artificial colour that in the content, is it safe for feeding birds
Answer:	I question the necessity of dye in the bird seed too and am not sure of it's safety but we are getting large flocks of all kinds of small birds that are feeding on it heavily. It seems more popular with the birds than another brand that I've put out.

Answer:	I have been buying this bird seed for several months now getting a shipment every 2-3 weeks and always have paid around $11. I did notice about a week or two ago the price was almost $17 and I refused to buy it then. Waited to the price dropped again before purchasing.

Answer:	I don't remember it having a resealable bag. I also WOULD NOT recommend this seed. the birds in my yard would not eat it - no birds at our feeders. As soon as I went back to the old, more expensive seed I bought at a local store; the birds came back.
Question:	will any of the waste sprout? I don't mind waste on the ground but don't want any seeds that will sprout

Answer:	No, there is not any cracked corn in this blend. I have been able to attract finches, sparrows and the occasional red winged black bird. I do have crows in my suburban neighborhood, but they have not been at all attracted to my birdfeeder

Answer:	I can't imagine that it wouldn't be welcomed by any bird! This is the best fruit and nut mix, I have ever seen for birds. It looked so good, I wanted to eat it... seriously!!! I've bought expensive fruit and nut mixes for people that didn't look that good...lol
Question:	Can you use a typical feeder that would hold black oil sunflower seeds (or any type of large seed)? Thanks
Answer:	I use a hanging tray feeder for this type of seed mix. I hang the tray on a shepherds hook with a squirrel cone. I like it because it attracts large and small birds, even woodpeckers.
Question:	I have the Squirrel Buster wild bird feeder. Are the nuts too large to flow out the bottom of the feeder and therefore clog the bottom? Thanks
Answer:	I too have a Squirrel Buster and 2 regular feeders (because the squirrels have to eat as well) and I have no clogging issues. What I do is buy regular bird seed, black oiled sunflower seeds and Lyric fruit and nut then I mix them together, equal parts and wow watch the birds enjoy! I hope this helps!
Question:	Does this bird seed sprout in the ground after it drops? I have a problem with corn and safflower growing underneath my feeder
Answer:	Honestly, the birds love it so much that none of it gets left on the ground! And if it drops out the feeder, the doves will eat it.The bag actually contains lots of chunky nut pieces and fruit (like a trail mix) so no seed in it, and no waste. It's my absolute favorite. Just pay attention to the price.. occasionally they increase the price on here when supplies are running low, so I usually wait until it drops back down to $10.98/5 lb bag.
