Question: | Is this 100% black oil sunflower seed? I noticed that the description fails to mention this while the description of the previous model does |
Answer: | It can be hung or mounted. |
Question: | What is the expiration of this bird feed? Will it keep to Christmas |

Question: | How can a 20 lb bag (description) have an 18 lb shipping weight (details |
Answer: | Bent does not sound like how mine is, an oval as pictured in the product description. And it is just like my first one of these feeders. |
Question: | Why does Wagner's 25-pound bag cost $25 and this 40-pound bag cost |
Answer: | As of September 2018, the feeders Amazon sends have a redesigned base. The bottom is no longer just cast metal. It is now plastic and cast metal. Also, if you use the threaded part of the bottom, to attach to a pole or for a tray, it is now just a single thread, not threaded several turns. It does not hold well. I do not like the redesigned base at all. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this bird seed sprout under the feeders |
Answer: | I haven't used that seed since 2017. There is always a chance for seeds to sprout if there are no birds or squirrel to clean it up on the ground. Sometimes this also can happen if the birds don't like all the seed. |
Question: | what are all seeds included |
Answer: | I really couldn’t tell you all the seeds . The main reason I purchase this seed was because it had black sun flower seed. |

User questions & answers
Question: | are there real cherries in this bird food |
Answer: | You might want to look at this before deciding to buy BPA-Free anything. The Scary New Evidence on BPA-Free Plastics http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2014/03/tritan-certichem-eastman-bpa-free-plastic-safe |
Question: | I like to use organic products-is there any dye in the proct & what is the cherry flavor made from |
Answer: | Yes, when first. Taken. I wipe outside with a tissue and no more sweat. It appears it sweats when it is first introduced to the room termed. I hope this helps you. I have MS, which means many challenges and I say again.....this bottle is my favorite one and I have many kinds/types of bottles My next favorite bottle is made by Rubbermaid. |
Question: | Is this really the same exact bag that home depot has except for home depot is selling it as a 40 lb bag for |
Answer: | After trying to get a replacement O-ring from Contigo (they'll only send a whole new lid which seems wasteful) I decided that it would be worth trying to make some. So here's the method: Food grade silicone. You'll need a coin just a bit bigger than a $1 coin (or put some masking tape around the edges of the coin and cut down to height), wash the coin. Get two piece of wood and cover with plastic wrap. Get coins of different denominations as spacers for the height (I experimented with the ones I had on hand, 8 dimes should work). Place the 1$ coin in the center, and squeeze some silicone all the way around it. Stack the two dimes in each corner and then place the second piece of wood on top. Clamp and let dry. When it's dry cut out the outer edge of the circle with a pair of sharp scissors. Use the previous ring as a guide. I've made about 10 so far since these water bottles are fantastic but the ring gets really gross really fast, the handmade silicone ones seem to last much longer without getting nasty and gunky. |
Question: | What is the cherry flavor? Sounds artificial and not healthy for wild birds |
Answer: | I have NEVER had it open and I carried in a book bag on wheels. After a after a year I had to make sure it snapped shut. But I love this bottle so much I just bought two more ! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Which blend is best to attract Cardinals |
Answer: | Don't think so. It is an essence of cherry . The birds love this food and I suspect the deer love it too. |
Question: | I am wondering about how many cups of seed are in a 8 lb bag |
Answer: | There was no cherry flavor at all in the bag I received. Also, the birds refused to eat it. |
Question: | Southen california, san diego county, near coast. which seed is best for my area |
Answer: | Not sure. I haven't seen it at our local Home Depot store. |
Question: | I'm in southern california, the mountains above san diego to be exact, should i buy the western regional blend or the southwest regional blend |
Answer: | I'm from southern CT. The birds here go crazy for this seed. Tried black oil seed. Not as popular and would sometimes clog the feeder. This has a variety of seed sizes which allow the seeds to drop freely. Dont know if this is organic, dont know about gmo. All I know is some 20lb bags go for $40-$50 and the birds here love this blend. If its cherry oil who cares, the birds dont. I took a survey lol. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this seed irradiated to prevent sprouting? That also renders the seed useless for food value, I've heard |
Answer: | Good question. I don't know whether the seed is treated that way, because the birds eat it so quickly (and there is no waste) that the seed has no time to sprout. |
Question: | Where is this made |
Answer: | Hi there! This is made in Chilton, Wisconsin. |
Question: | Is this bird seed mix entirely pesticide free? This is a very important concern |
Answer: | As far as I know, yes, it is entirely pesticide free... Maybe call the manufacturer to know for sure. |
Question: | I want a birdseed that won't attract bees. The one I have now is full of bees |
Answer: | I don't know what state you live in, but out in California, bees are only attracted to flowers and things which contain pollen. This seed contains no pollen or sugar, so that shouldn't be an issue. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this keep out jays and starlings |
Answer: | Maybe we need to consider the dog's chewing and destructive ability. Normally toys can last for months or even longer. Expect the black ball, the other three all are durable thick rubber and can be a chewing toys. You can guide your pet before the first playing. |
Question: | Does this come with the bird food |
Answer: | No. All parts are a hard plastic and so far seem to be very durable. The Busy Buddy screws apart in two places, allowing kibbles/treats (I mix about 1:10 treats:kibbles) to be put in it. It can hold a lot! And you can adjust how easily the pieces come out. This is one of Peter's favorite food/treat dispensing toys. |
Question: | Country of origin |
Answer: | My dog loves this toy. It is possible to adjust the opening where the food comes out. You can make the opening holes smaller or larger. I use this as a treat dispenser and a way for my dog to entertain herself. She loves the challange of getting the treats out. It could be used as a food dispenser for kibble, but I like it for her treats. The toy does roll and it is very easy to clean, all plastic, but durable. My dog is a medium size dog, 40 lbs and she will grab the mushroom in her mouth, carry it around, drop it on the floor, roll it, and chase it to get to the treats. I have several treat dispensing toys, and this is by far the favorite of both her and myself. I hope my anwer was helpful to you |
Question: | What size suet cakes does this take |
Answer: | The large holds 1 cup easily. The small holds about half a cup. That is filling the bottom half and then screwing the top on. If you fill the bottoms any fuller then the food gets in the way of the grooves and you can't screw the two halves together. I think each could hold another 1/2 cup or so if you closed the slots each time and filled the top half and screwed the bottom on while it was 'upside-down'. That would take more time. |

Recyclable Minimal-Waste Packaging!
- Easy to Tear Open, No Scissors or Knives
- Eliminates the Greasy Handling Mess
- 80% Less Packaging by Weight than a Standard Suet Tray
- Reduced Environmental Impact
- 100% Recyclable Materials
Our New and Improved Clean Easy Open Packaging
Our Suet Cakes are wrapped in a "candy bar" wrapper! This means there is less mess and less waste than the old traditional trays.
The Old Messy Trays
The trays are messy, require tools like scissors or knives and sometimes you even have to use your hands to get the suet out!
Less Packaging equals Less Waste
Our Packaging is 100% recyclable and there is just plain less of it. We use 80% less packaging by weight. This means that there is less in the landfill and more going back to be reused again and again.
Waste
The tray is an outdated and inefficient use of materials. Not only is the packaging larger than our wrapper and going to the landfill, but also the suet sticks to the tray! This means more for the garbage and less for the birds!
