Question:	I was looking for something to hold my cotton fabric scraps, will birds be able to pull scraps to make a nest with this hanger
Answer:	I wouldn't have thought to use it for scraps or material...neat idea...but I can say, I used mine to hang outside for peanuts for the squirrels, and they have no problems getting them out. I have even had a few birds successfully get a peanut out, so I think they would be able to pull out a piece of material!
Question:	How do you get the peanuts in the wreath
Answer:	You unhook one of the sides from the top. But, by the time you walk back in your house, this feeder will be empty. The object of a bird feeder is EFFICIENT dispensing of seed to provide optimal watching opportunities. Well, this feeder fails at that. The Blue Jays quickly learn to empty this feeder in mere minutes. And, it begins to stretch out very quickly allowing the birds even easier access. You might as well just throw the peanuts in an open tray. This is just a useless feeder.
Question:	Can you put suet balls in the feeder
Answer:	I use it strictly for shelled peanuts. The open is not very large and to put the peanuts in the ring I have a funnel that I cut off short in order to stuff the peanuts in. So I would think trying to get suet balls in there would be tough.
Question:	Is there any way to tighten the coils if they get stretched out? The peanuts (in the shell) are falling out through the spaces
Answer:	I was able to tighten wide gaps with my hands by squeezing the gaps together. If you can't do that with yours, try small black zip ties to pull the gaps closer together.

Answer:	It is not really difficult. It comes apart right at the top and you feed them in. It can be a bit awkward and tie consuming but once you get them done it last quite a while depending on activity! I hope this helps. By the way, the birds love it!
Question:	am i the only one having trouble figuring out how this goes together? no instructions included on how/where to place the hooks
Answer:	We just pulled it together and then placed the hooks in the loops. We didn't use it very long being the blue jays didn't like it....they pretty much refused to take the time needed to extract the peanuts. The squirrels would spend the time but my husband also didn't like refilling it so it came down pretty quickly.

Question:	It was suggested that if I feed the squirrels, they would stay away from my fruit trees. Anyone have that experience
Answer:	Not with fruit trees but I was told they would stay away from the bird feeders. Wrong. I put this feeder on my back fence away from the feeders. It took those dumb squirrels forever to find it and then figure out how to open it. They were moderately successful but the raccoons went crazy over the feast they found. They cleaned out the entire feeder in one night and left the peanut shells all over the flower bed underneath it. I took the feeder down and am putting it in a rummage sale this spring. It may work for you but I'm done with it.
Question:	Squirrels ate holes in plastic, any suggestions rather than buying a new one? What material
Answer:	I've never had a problem with the squirrels chewing through the plastic. I insert a deep plastic bowl (like Tupperware, or the ones made by Glad). They will occasionally chew around the edges of the bowl, but it's easily replaced.
Question:	Did yours come with tgr nails? I had to order 2 times because the screws were missing
Answer:	I believe the screws were included, but I used rubber coated wire to secure t h e feeder. It has stood up to tough weather and an army of squirrels.

Answer:	I got this to deter the squirrels from my garden too ! It will keep most of them out of the garden.

How to position a location for Hanging this feeder?

Firstly, Make Sure It is Safe, Keeping it 3 Feet away for walls or window glass, which gives some space and for safety buffer and birds will not fly into obstacles and get injured.

Secondly, watch out squirrels, raccoons, possums. Keeping at least 10 feet away from floor or surrounding shelter, examine the distance to keep them out. Thirdly, Make sure you can see it from your window so that you can enjoy seeing the birds coming and going in your garden. Birds resting area is not ideal for placing the feed as it may lurk hawk or predator and cause danger to the birds.

Question:	Can this feeder be mounted on a pole
Answer:	If you used a bracket/hanger of some sort, it would work. It is best to be able to remove the lid to fill it. In my experience, it would be difficult to refill if it was mounted in a permanent position. There are times it needs "tapped" to remove clumps of the feed. (We use peanuts.)

Answer:	1/4” squares
Question:	Can you fill it with black sunflower seeds? Can the squirrels get to it
Answer:	I haven't tried but I believe the sunflower seeds will work with the feeder. As far as squirrels, my feeder has a squirrel deterrent and they are unable to get to it. I do think they would be able to cling to it and possibly do some damage to it. I love the feeder though!

Answer:	12 inches in diameter -- sometimes wish it was bigger because it's such a hit -- I have to fill it every 2 days to keep the birds and squirrels happy

Answer:	It takes about 1 1/4 lb. to fill. They can go through it pretty quickly depending on how many Jays you have. It is fun to watch the different method each Jay uses to get the peanuts out...some simply stand on the center of it, others try by flapping wings alongside to stay level and some just stay on the tree (if it's on a tree). When it gets low they usually have to turn upside down to get them. I have even seen a couple of Jays get a large double peanut and try to figure out if they could get a second one.

Answer:	Hi, You can use any of the following: shelled peanuts, shelled pistachios, cashews, nut and fruit mix, almonds, pecans, dried fruit or suet nuggets.

Answer:	No, it is not adjustable. I've had pretty good sized woodpeckers land on it and successfully eat, but the squirrels are too heavy and they have given up.

Answer:	I've tried raisins, almonds, whole corn kernels, even tossed pieces of apples and clementines.
Question:	Would mixed millet seed or sunflower hearts work in this feed her, or are the holes in the mesh too big
Answer:	I think the holes are going to be too big for millet or sunflower hearts. the peanuts are just big enough to stay in the feeder until a bird pecks at them to eat.

Question:	Does the base of the tube feeder snap out to for easy cleaning
Answer:	Take a twist tie and attach the top of the spring to the cage- that increases the springiness
Question:	I use mixed seed in my feeders and a lot of it fall through the holes on the inner cage when I fill it. Any suggestions besides using bigger seed
Answer:	No. The cage is not room enough for a bird to go in and get stuck. The birds manage the cage easily. Sadly it is not perfectly squirrel-proof but it does limit the amount that they can take out. I have had mine for many months and the birds are totally fine.
Question:	Can you use millet seed in this feeder
Answer:	I'm not sure. The seed I had last year attracted lots of chickadees and other small birds. I don't think cardinals will have a problem, though. They're still too light to push the feeder ports closed.
Question:	What is the size of the openings in the mesh? 1/4"? Not the external cage, the actual feed tube
Answer:	The issue was when a squirrel tried for the food the release closed the holes like it supposed to. But wouldnt return after the squirrel left. The design is such when closed the opening is smaller closing on the stopping pin and grabbing so I put in a stopper so it wont go all the way down

Question:	Can crows/grackles destroy this feeder, or is it fairly secure
Answer:	In the shell. I would think it would be fine with shelled unless they are dramatically smaller. Things don't fall out the bottom as there is about a 2 inch solid circle there with 3 drain holes. It empties fast. I fill it every morning and empty out the thin layer that the birds don't seem to be able to get. I have a large niger seed feeder hanging too and chickadees and other smaller birds use it as fall back. I scatter 3/4 cup of seeds on the ground too.
Question:	Does seed get wet easily in the mesh? Will they still eat it
Answer:	There doesn't seem to be many shelled sunflower seeds falling out. The birds peck at it and pull the seeds out of the mesh. I have it on a post with 3 other feeders above a baffle. Those other feeders do spill quite a bit. The squirrels and ground feeding birds clean up.
Question:	With a lot of these feeder's the top unscrews easily and feeder falls to the ground. Does this one do that

Question:	In what country is this made
Answer:	There are two holes drilled into the table for drainage.
Question:	Does this come any bigger
Answer:	I don't think any bird could hurt this feeder. Even a squirrel......
Question:	Was this supposed to come with a liner
Answer:	Yes and it can get hard and birds will stop eating. I put a squirrel protector ABOVE most of my feeders to keep them dry. It also helps keep squirrels from going down to eat. I now only buy squirrel proof feeders but still use the protectdpr on top to keep food dry.
Question:	What is the size
Answer:	I don't think you will experience that problem with this feeder, as long as the top is screwed down all the way after filling.
