Question:	Where can I buy mason bees
Answer:	I am pretty sure you work to attract wild mason bees. Never heard of buying them.
Question:	Can you reuse them or have to replace them after a bee uses them
Answer:	Best to open them and replace them if you want to avoid the parasites that infest the bee cocoons. Crown Bees has educational videos on YouTube and on their website. It's best to cover the tubes after they are filled too. I would encourage you to learn all about them! It's fun to raise them. If you find out that you really hate cleaning the nests, you can also rent bees and return filled nests or donate the tubes after they are filled.

Question:	Can cardboard tubes be cleaned and reused
Answer:	Hi! You may be able to clean our strong cardboard guard tubes at the end of the nesting season; it really depends on their condition ie if they've gotten wet (please always mount your Mason bee house structure out of direct rain for the safety of the bees and their cocoons, and for longevity of your bee house). Also, if there is any sign of any mold, fungus or parasites, you can simply remove and replace the cardboard bee tubes with fresh ones, and disinfect the bee house - unlike other brands where the tubes can't be removed/replaced. To increase the life of our Mason bee nesting tubes, we have available matching fitted paper inserts that can be removed and replaced each season instead. This pack of cardboard outer guard tubes are designed to fit around our Rivajam paper inserts tubes (sold separately). Answer:	These are likely made in China.
Question:	The picture accompanying this product shows photos of honeybees. obviously not mason bees. is this a responsible vendor
Answer:	I can't speak on how responsible the company is because I have only bought these tubes from them. I can speak on the product quality. I have two mason bee houses and use these tubes which I line with parchment paper for easy removal. These tubes are sturdy and well made. My bees seem to like them just fine. As for the picture, it's unfortunate that the companies marketing agency is ignorant on the difference of mason and honey bees but I wouldn't let that deter you from using this product.
Question:	What is the bee house made of? It looks like it's cardboard, is it waterproof
Answer:	Not sure about the bee house because I use a section of PVC (31/2" to 4" diameter) as the house to hold the tubes. The PVC pipe is inexpensive and basically indestructible. The tubes are made of cardboard so they are not waterproof but they are pretty sturdy and weather well inside of the PVC pipe.

Question:	Can you refill with the cardboard tubes
Answer:	The bamboo models can be re-inhabited year after year and new houses put up and when filled, relocated to other areas around your property to expand the population. You can certainly put in some straws, if you'd like to harvest them and clean cocoons. However, for the average person these houses work very well.

Answer:	Ours is outside, so I can't measure it right now. But I think they are about 3.5 inches long. The product description says the house is 4 inches deep, so that sounds right to me.
Question:	Can you Add cardboard tube of cocoons
Answer:	Perhaps. Wood really warped but maybe cardboard tubes would work. The bamboo tubes were not the problem. The wood case that held them was the problem.
Question:	I live in a hot, humid environment. is the wood waterproofed? if not how would you recommend protecting it? the last box i had warped and split apart
Answer:	I live in deep east Texas..hot, humid also. Have had mine 2 yrs+, no issues w/warping or splitting; did not apply protective coating; resides high on side of barn.
