Answer:	This item turns about 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 rpms. I use this item for turning fishing rods after I replace a broken guide and after the epoxy is applied to the wraps. I have built a dryer where I can dry up to 12 rods at one time. Not what the motor was designed to be used for, but being an engineer and a fishing rod builder, I just designed what I needed to use this motor and it works great.

Answer:	This motor has lots of torque. 22 lb turkey no problem. It will probably fail if you turn more than 100 ears. Problem will be starting up torque. If the load is balanced the running torque is very small. Big torque required to start a balanced load and even more if unbalanced. The commercial corn roasters probably have 1/8HP motors geared down to slow rpm. That from retired engineer.

Answer:	Hello, Thank you for the question! In short, no this item should not be used for any manufacturing processes as is intended for use on an outdoor grill rotisserie only. I have provided here special information that is included in the product description that precludes such an application: "Please note that this item is an outdoor use grill rotisserie motor and is designed for utility only in conjunction with outdoor grill rotisseries or other outdoor cooking appliances that specifically require the use of an electrically powered grill rotisserie motor for the intention of cooking food. This motor is not intended for use in manufacturing/coatings or in environments other than described." We have actually learned a bit about this specific industry over the years and this is the main reason we have included the above important statement in the product description. I understand that rotisserie motors are a popular perceived solution or re-purposing to the "cuptisserie", but they are just not well designed for that application. You will find that every rotisserie motor will work for awhile for this use, but they all fail eventually and prematurely where as on a grill they can often last 1,000's of hours. Ultimately a grill rotisserie motor is not designed for this application for some very targeted reasons. 1) 12 to 24 hour manufacturing processes will require a continuous duty rated motor designed for indoor manufacturing 2) Rotisserie motors in general are not designed to handle the harsh off gasses of epoxy coatings as it will degrade the grease and components of the internals of the motor and transmission. Eventually the off gassing causes the internals of the motor to soften and corrode. 3) Apparently glitter or other metal and plastic flake materials are popular in this specific manufacturing industry and can enter the motor just by being in the air and cause electrical issues with the shaded pole motor. 4) Rotisserie motors, in general, are rated for outdoor use only. 5) Our rotisserie motors specifically, and most, have a special grease in the transmission that is very, very thick and designed to soften from the heat of the grill when cooking. Essentially for grilling the grease needs to be thick enough not to run from the motor when subjected to heat, but when it never sees this heat (i.e. a cuptisserie) the grease never distributes properly through the transmission. --We would recommend sourcing a motor designed for manufacturing that has least the following: is rated for indoor use, is continuous duty operation rated, is either sealed or chemical resistant. Question:	What size diameter rod do I need to fit in the chuck
Answer:	My motor has a round hole about 1/4" to 5/16" with 4 knotches. I wanted to buy a "chuck" to insert built by manufacturer that I could insert into 3/4" or 1" ID pipe but could not find one. I took a 3/4" ID galvanized pipe home depot and found some solid stock about 3/4" od x 4" that would fit into pipe also hd plumbing department. I then ground one end into a square end about 5/16" and inserted it into motor opening. The other end went into the pipe and bolted it in place. I was concerned it would kick out when I was not tending pig thus burning pig so I figured out how to lock the pipe into roticerie so it can't kick out. I have had it for 2 years and love it. Manufacturer would do well to pupply chuck insert and various lengths pipe and strength. We did a 55 lb pig this summer and no problem even with weight off center. Best of luck Wayne

Question:	Is this compatible with the Urban Island 5 burner 9' island grill
Answer:	Hello, Thank you for the question. In short, not as a direct fitment. Generally Urban Island grills do not lend themselves well to a universal style rotisserie without modification to the grill and mounting; these systems included. Specifically the bracket set in this rotisserie system and virtually all brands of universal rotisserie system will require mounting to the small upright walls on each side of the grill surface (the triangular portion you see coming up on each side when the lid is lifted). Urban Island grills do not generally have holes in these areas already to mount to so new holes would need to be drilled on each side to accommodate the supporting brackets. The second consideration is that the lid on Urban Island grills generally cover a significant portion of the side of the grill where this mounting would occur so it can often times be necessary to add common hardware store brackets and longer screws to bring a universal mount out further and avoid lid impact issues. The last consideration, and prevalent for a heavier system such is this system is that the spit rod will need to clear the cutouts in the lid and upright walls. As these systems use a 5/8" hexagon spit rod the clearance area in those cutouts needs to be fairly large at least 3/4". Ultimately the most common Urban Island system we have encountered uses a smaller 1/2" hexagon spit rod to allow for clearance in this area. Answer:	Hello, It is a fairly universal kit. So long as you have a location that you can drill 2 holes on each side for the brackets and drive concrete screws in (not included) many people use these for custom applications. Please note that the kit is generally good a span of 55". Although the rod is 60" this allows for the offset created by the bracket, motor insertion, and the handle.
