User questions & answers
Question: | Will they update to have a better(longer or different from the normal notifications on phone) ?just beeps like a text or email. Thanks |
Answer: | Hello! Typically you can get them off just by pulling them off, but we have found that a small amount of dish soap under the indicator will allow it to slide off super easy. That way your probe is clean too! Thanks! |
Question: | You state the smart grilling hub is ipx4 waterproof with probes in. Does this mean that if there are unused probe holes it is not waterproof |
Answer: | Hello, we're sorry to hear about the trouble with your iGrill Pro Meat probe! It carries a 2 year warranty, so please reach out to us at [email protected] or 1-800-446-1071 and we'll be happy to help. Thanks! |
Question: | What are the warranty terms for this device |
Answer: | Hello. We do apologize about the confusion. Multiple silicone sleeves are included to identify one probe from another if using multiple probes at the same time. Do not hesitate to reach out to our support team if you have additional questions. Thanks! |
Question: | Does it work with Alexa |
Answer: | Hello! We apologize for the confusion. The base of the iGrill Mini and iGrill 2 are magnetic. The probe holders can still snap together for easier storage. Thanks! |

User questions & answers
Question: | I thought the igrill3 already came as a standard feature on genesis 2 models. Would i need to purchase genesis 2 then purchase igrill 3 separately |
Answer: | If u bought the $800 grill then it's IGrill ready, you then need to buy $99 Bluetooth sensor with probes, The grill u bought would need to say iGrill ready |
Question: | Are there any major functional differences between iGrill 2 and iGrill 3? Is it just what specific grills they're compatible with |
Answer: | Hello! The iGrill 2 and iGrill 3 are virtually the same unit with the exception that the iGrill 2 can act as a standalone accessory whereas the iGrill 3 is only compatible with the Genesis II and Genesis II LX grills. If you do not own a Genesis II/LX grill, we recommend checking out the iGrill 2. Thanks! |
Question: | It appears this replaces the lp/propane monitor on genesis ii lx s-640, so does it also monitor the amount of fuel left in tank |
Answer: | I installed the iGrill 3 and the probes work great. I'm unclear how to check the LP level using the app. I did get a notification that the tank needed to be replaced but .. . I was already changing the tank at that point. Is there a calibration process? Also, I would like to be able to see if the tank is 75% or 15% full. Is that possible? |
Question: | Is there an option in the app to save the temperature charts or export the data |
Answer: | Hi! There is no option to save temperature data, however, you can export your graph to a CSV file. Head to the graph view and tap on the icon at the top, right-hand corner of the app. Then, input your email address and you will receive your temperature date in a CSV file. Thanks! |

User questions & answers
Question: | how well does it work if the grill cover is closed |
Answer: | The cables come out the door to the base sitting on top and you are in the house with the remote drinking a beer. Once you figure it out it works great. |
Question: | Can this set an alarm to indicate when you have reached your custom target temperature |
Answer: | It beeps when you are within 10 degrees of target temp. after you silence it it beeps again when it gets to target temp. That applies to a custom temp and all of the recommended preset temps. |
Question: | Can you measure two "pieces of meat" simultaneous, one per probe and each with a readout |
Answer: | Yes, it absolutely can track and display two different temps at the same time. We've used it several times in our propane smoker already and each time I've used the first probe for the meat temp (chicken, beef, and pork so far) and the second probe as the ambient smoker temp. No reason you couldn't track to different meat temps instead. |
Question: | Lost manual, cannot get to synch-please help |
Answer: | The manual is available online here: http://c929377.r77.cf2.rackcdn.com/178945_080213.pdfI found that by going to weber.com -> Support -> Manuals. If you are having trouble viewing/finding the manual, here's the pairing instructions:"Press / Hold '1' and '2' on Receiver until you hear Beep and Current Temperature readout flashes.Short press "Power" key on transmitter unit within 12 seconds" |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work with Weber Genesis Silver C model. This barbecue is around 13 years old |
Answer: | I think it will. It fit on my Genesis Silver B model that has the thermometer centered on the front of the lid. The C model looks to have the same thermometer with a silver bezel around it. See if yours looks the same when you remove it. |
Question: | HOw do i know what model grill i have |
Answer: | If it's a charcoal grill and part of the One-Touch family, then the Silver will have a simple plate for catching ashes. The Gold will have a bucket that locks in. |
Question: | jumbo joe |
Answer: | This 7581 gauge works great on the Jumbo Joe. The large scale with a useful range is easy to read from a distance. It needs a 3/8" hole. Put a wood block under the lid and center punch it from the inside. Start the hole with an 1/8" bit and then use a 3/8" bit. It stands out from the lid slightly and has a small indexing tab that doesn't touch the grill. |
Question: | How big a hole do I need to drill to attach this to my grill |
Answer: | I started with a 7/32 and increased drill size to 3/8. This was perfect as it allows me to screw the thermometer into the hole I created. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this fit genesis silver c model dr |
Answer: | This thermometer is likely too wide in diameter for your grill. Provided that your Weber grill has the thermometer mounted at the center of the grill lid, then you will want the smaller diameter option of this same thermometer, which is Weber part number 60540. If your grill thermometer is mounted at the right-edge of the grill lid, then you will need the longer probe thermometer which is Weber part number 9815. Again, I believe that the correct thermometer for your Genesis Silver C grill will be the 60540. Please just double-check that you need a short-probe thermometer that sits at the center of the grill lid, nested inside a bezel (or frame). |
Question: | Does this fit the Weber e310 spirit |
Answer: | I have no idea. You may want to look up the parts list for the e310 and see if its the same part. |
Question: | Will it fit a genesis silver b? thermometer goes on the right side |
Answer: | No, this type of thermometer goes at the center of the grill lid. If you need the Weber thermometer for a Genesis Silver B model, where the thermometer is mounted at the edge of the grill, then you need Weber part number 9815. |
Question: | Will this fit an old weber 3000 redhead |
Answer: | yes |

User questions & answers
Question: | Has anyone tried using this with the Igrill 2? It appears to be the same type, but not sure if it works |
Answer: | If the connector is the same it should work. Caution with this probe. The cord does not like high temps. As in do not have cord over an open flame or hot coals. |
Question: | Will this replacement probe work on an a Oneida thermometer and timer |
Answer: | It will probably work, however it will likely be off by several degrees. When I replaced mine, this new probe registers 30 hotter than actual temperature. (When I calibrated it, water boiled at 240 deg F.) So it works, I just have to remember the new calibration. For example if I want to get my ribs to 195 deg F, I leave them in the smoker until it reads 225 deg F. If you buy it, make sure to check the calibration. |
Question: | will this work with a Weber Style |
Answer: | I thought it would, it certainly seems to fit, but when you turn on the main thermometer unit you can see by the temp (air) that reads that this will not work. Also accidentally used it on a new non-Weber thermometer I purchased and the same thing happened. Guess it only works on the 6743 model. |
Question: | will this work for iGrill |
Answer: | No it does not work for igrill or treagar's So I have two that sits useless here. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this thermometer be safely used in baking applications such as monitoring temperature while melting chocolate or making caramel |
Answer: | No, we would only recommend using this to register the internal temperature of food that is on the grill. Thanks! |
Question: | I cant get the probe to go straight out, only 90 degree angle. What am i doing wrong |
Answer: | Hello! Once the probe is at a 90 degree angle, press the button and manually straighten up the probe. This may take a little bit of force, and we recommend applying pressure by the red bracket, at the top of the probe. Thanks! |
Question: | does it give you the degrees in celsius as well |
Answer: | Hello, thank you for your questions! Our Snapcheck thermometer provides temperatures in Celsius and Fahrenheit. Thanks! |
