Answer:	I don't have the Akorn grill. It was not a exact fit for my thermometer hole. So all I did was drill a hole and use the nut and washer that came with it. Works great.

Although the width (1.5”) will fit in many rod holders, the lack of flexibility in comparison to a fishing rod will make it difficult to fit in many side mount rod holder designs. I would recommend checking both your rod holder thickness to ensure it is at least 1.75”, in addition to checking to see if you have at least 55” of space that will allow the boat hook to go in straight without bending.
