The recommended ignition temperature is 300°F-400°F. Do Not use at temperature above 600 °F, or the mats may be damaged.

Do not place directly on charcoal, place the mat over the grill grates approx 7 inches from the burners.

Question:	Is this made with copper, or just copper colored
Answer:	I bought this as a gift for my son-in-law to protect their cedar deck from their new webber grill. I would consider it more for spills and splashes vs heat insulation. Grill does not get hot by the wheels, don't know how hot your smoker gets.
Question:	Can these be cut to fit pans
Answer:	Do not buy its toxic chemical will stain any deck or surface

Answer:	I don't think I would recommend it, if you want to protect your grass set your firepit on paving stones, the mats might melt, they're more or less to protect wood decks from grease spills or splatters
Question:	Where are they made
Answer:	I had the same question so I looked at it closely (I used the zoom feature) on the website pictures and it appears to me that the grid side goes down towards the ground/deck. I would appreciate hearing others' opinions though.
