Answer: It comes with a coating. Don't know if it is preseasoned but food does not stick. I bought 2 of them. Last weekend cooked 5 lbs hamburger, 1 lb bacon, 3 steaks, 8 fried eggs. Nothing stuck, everything was perfect and I highly recommend the Blackstone.
Question: When i use my grill sometimes i'll turn off the burners then back on. sometimes they turn on very low. anyone else
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Our griddles have a safety feature with the regulators. If the propane was not turned off completely or in the exact steps, the regulator will prevent much gas flow from going through the regulator the next time. I have noticed that our recent batch of regulators are more sensitive than they have been in the past. You might try turning removing the propane tank and then reattaching it. This should reset the regulator from the above mentioned safety feature. Also, there are air gates at the front of each burner that can be adjusted to your preference. They control the air to gas ratio. There is a small silver screw at the front of the burner tube that you can loosen and then you can slide the gate more open or closed depending on your preference. We typically have the air gates half closed or even 3/4 of the way closed. I hope this helps. Answer: Unfortunately, I did not keep the box. It is very heavy but seems to be cooking the food well.

Answer: This could act as a diffuse my fear would be scratching your glass with the pottery. Depending on pot sizes you may look at a Wok Ring. Your mileage may vary :)

It will be a little flimsy, so after placing cornmeal or flour on your stone as directed, use a long pancake turner to place your pizza on the stone. If you have enough room, you could always use a pan and place the whole shebang on top of the stone. Remember the warnings that an ice cold frozen food item MIGHT crack your stone.

Question: Does it have a carry rack
Answer: I have to strongly disagree with the seller. I and my family (including children) have used racks with other stones for years and never had an issue. Peels are great if you have a elevated stove, but if you have to crouch down for a lower level oven they can become unstable and its a great recipe for a 425 degree pizza on the foot. Finding a rack from another brand in 16" has become a pain and I will have to basically throw away a competitors stone if I want to acquire one. All things considered I should have shopped more. I recommend you offer it as an option and let your customers decide.
Question: Can this be used to make pizza's using home made uncooked or unfrozen pizza dough? If so, how do you transfer to the stone
Answer: Yes, I make homemade pizza dough all of the time and sometimes I also buy the dough in the frozen section of the grocery. The trick is to make sure that it will slide off of whatever surface you are actually constructing the pizza on. I make my dough and then build the pizza entirely on a piece of parchment paper. I then slide the pizza with toppings on the parchment paper into the oven. Another way is to dust the work surface and the pizza stone with a little cornmeal so that that dough slides off nicely. Before I had a pizza peel, I slid the dough off and on the stone with a cookie sheet that had a flat edge on one side. It was an inexpensive way to manage the dough and I already had the baking sheet in my kitchen. There are a lot of ways to so this, just make sure to follow the recipes that Cast Elegance sends you and to read and follow the Use and Care instructions carefully. Choose the right size for your oven by measuring the shortest useable side of your oven rack.

If your rack slopes upwards at the back of your oven, omit that space from your measurements.

Most ovens will only accommodate the 14-inch diameter round stone or the 14 x 16 inch rectangular stone. The 16-inch round stone will not fit many ovens.

How Do I Clean My Pizza Stone?

Never clean with soap or chemicals!

1/4 cup barbecue sauce*

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup smoked Gouda cheese, shredded

Answer: My rule I never cut on a any hot stone besides this stone has such a nice finish on it that I wouldn't want to chip it. a pizza peel and a cutting board is your best friend when it comes to this.

Answer: Most people buy this stone for cooking. But you can chill it and serve cheeses and grapes on it for instance.

Answer: You have to get the oven up to 350 degrees for the stone to hold the heat long enough. Our oven goes to 300 and the stone was hot enough to cook for 15-20 mins so the extra heat does make a difference. Great product though.

Answer: You can literally cook anything you want to on the stone. The trick is to properly sear the cut of meat first. Then you cut off approximately 1" strips and cook it as you're going to eat it. This way, every bite of your meat is freshly cooked hot. You can put garlic butter,pepper sauce, olive oil, or whatever you want on the meat before you you place the slices on the stone. It's really amazing! If your meat isn't perfect, you only have yourself to blame.
