Answer:	I am a meat cutter, and I cook rib roasts a lot! 15 minutes on both sides is not long, this is needed to sear the outside, and start rendering out all the heavy fat of a standing rib. I will say that at 500, you will have to watch it! Rib roasts are fatty, high heat will cause flare ups. After that lower the heat, the more you take your time, the better the results. Most smokers, the manuals will tell you, are essentially slow cookers with smoke. That’s how they work best. The Davy Crockett can also grill quite well, but it’s a bit different than using a regular grill. This is the nature of most pellet grills I’ve seen. I must add; I love my GMG! It took a little time to learn how it’s best used, but the results have been delicious!
Question:	Your description lists to temp as 500 but the green mountain grills website says 550. Is that just a typo or is this an older version with less range

Answer:	If you can find the Walmart bundle you’ll save a ton of money. I just bought the 22” bundle for $174. I calculated the price on amazon for the griddle, lid, table, and propane tank adapter and it added up to $320. But the Walmart version is slightly different in appearance not having the nice stainless steel front.

Had to ask a friend, and he showed me pics of his, so I ordered the (quote) "KIBOW High Pressure Propane Adaptor & Hose, 5ft long/Connects 1# Propane Tank Connector Appliances to a Refillable 20# Tank--CSA Certified". I posted the 3 pics he shared with me, with his fully functional griddle on a 20# tank, under comment/rating section. (Don't see how to post pics here in Ans. section) KEY IS THAT THE REGULATOR COMES WITH THE GRIDDLE, SO YOU DON'T NEED THE REGULATOR AS PART OF THE HOSE ASSEMBLY. I ruined mine because I did not know about heat deflector until after I got hot spots after using my sizzleq on gas barbeque for two years without any problems I bougt a camp stove top and then got hot spots.
